Lush caves are one of the new biomes added to Minecraft in the Caves & Cliffs update. Beginners and returning players may be curious about where these caves can be found.
As one of the main cave biomes currently in Minecraft, lush caves have more than a few things to offer players. They carry unique plant life, like glow berries, and make excellent building locations.

Their underground nature, vivid plant life and occasional deposits of water make them one of the most unique locations in the game.
Lush caves are also currently the only location where axolotls spawn naturally after the mob’s rework.
How difficult is it to find a lush cave in Minecraft?

Azalea tree root systems include rooted dirt and hanging root blocks, which can be followed all the way down into a lush cave system.

Azaleas are directly fed from the cave systems. This means that if players follow the trees’ roots, they’ll find what they’re looking for. The only exception is when the azalea tree itself generates within the lush cave. However, this is somewhat rare as the cave would require enough space to generate the tree.
