Please note that players on DraftKings and FanDuel have multi-position eligibility and may not always match their position between each other. In this article, we will be breaking down some of our favorite plays on the slate at their positions. Remember to keep your eye on the news as the day progresses, as NBA news frequently changes the slate.
Guard
Ja Morant ($10,500 DK, $10,300 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Ja Morant | MEM | 49 | 30 | 19 | 33.5 | 27.9 | 78.3 | 9.9 | 12.8 |
The Ja Morant world tour continues tonight in Houston; the Grizzlies have won 7 of their last 10 games and have vaulted into 2nd place in the Western Conference. As we’ve mentioned many times in this article, the Rockets are bad; they have the worst Defensive Rating and play at the league’s fastest pace. Morant is scoring at 51.28 fantasy points per 36-minute clip and 1.43 fantasy points per minute.
Darius Garland ($8,600 DK, $8,000 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Darius Garland | CLE | 48 | 29 | 19 | 34.6 | 20.5 | 84.1 | 5.7 | 15 |
There was some genuine concern surrounding Garland’s back injury, but he’s seemed to have silenced the rumors over the last 2 games. Since returning, he’s averaged 29.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 11.5 assists, and 2 stocks. The Cav’s guard rotation is short now; Caris LeVert and Rajon Rondo are doubtful to play tonight against the Raptors, so that the team will need Garland’s production more than ever.
Forward
Scottie Barnes ($7,000 DK, $6,900 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Scottie Barnes | TOR | 54 | 29 | 25 | 35.3 | 14.9 | 64.6 | 12.6 | 6.9 |
We have news early with the Raptors tonight; as we know, OG Annunoby is OUT for the foreseeable future, and Fred VanVleet and Malachi Flynn are both OUT as well. Barnes is one of the best plays at the position tonight.
RJ Barrett ($7,900 DK, $7,900 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| RJ Barrett | NYK | 50 | 21 | 29 | 33.4 | 19 | 49.7 | 9.9 | 5.3 |
The Knicks bring their 8 game losing streak into Los Angeles tonight to take on the Clippers. Regardless of how bad the team has been, Barrett has been playing big minutes and attempting 20+ shots a night, which is all we care about for our purposes. Over this stretch, he’s averaging 40.8 minutes and attempting 22.7 shots per game. The Clippers are ranked 29th in fantasy points allowed to the small forward position.
Power Forward & Center
Darius Bazley ($5,200 DK, $5,900 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Darius Bazley | OKC | 57 | 18 | 39 | 27.5 | 9.8 | 42.5 | 10.7 | 3 |
The Thunder are missing multiple players from the rotation tonight; Luguentz Dort, Derrick Favors, Kenrich Williams, and Ty Jerome are all OUT with various injuries. The matchup against the Jazz is not ideal in general, but they are ranked 30th in fantasy points allowed to the small forward position. Bazley is more of a boom or bust type play, so I consider him a tournament-only option.
Rudy Gobert ($8,500 DK, $8,400 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Rudy Gobert | UTA | 47 | 33 | 14 | 32.2 | 15.9 | 34.2 | 25.1 | 1.8 |
Gobert should have his way on the glass tonight against the Thunder, OKC is ranked 25th in rebounding percentage on the season, and they are missing a few bigs due to injury. Over his last 4 games, Gobert has averaged 16.75 points, 14.75 rebounds, and 2.5 stocks. Mike Conley is OUT tonight for rest, and in 757 possessions with Conley off the floor, Gobert is averaging 1.4 fantasy points per minute.
