Please note that players on DraftKings and FanDuel have multi-position eligibility and may not always match their position between each other. In this article, we will be breaking down some of our favorite plays on the slate at their positions. Remember to keep your eye on the news as the day progresses, as NBA news frequently changes the slate.
Guard
Dejounte Murray ($10,800 DK, $9,600 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Dejounte Murray | SAS | 55 | 23 | 32 | 34.6 | 20.3 | 87 | 13.9 | 17.1 |
The tracking data on Dejounte Murray is insane, and he is one of three players in the league to average at least 80 touches, 12 rebounding chances, and at least 15 potential assists. He’s the heart and soul of this Spurs team, and his impact is felt all over the court. Tonight’s matchup against the Hornets will be a fantasy-friendly game to attack from all angles; the Hornets rank 22nd in Defensive Rating and 2nd in Pace. The Spurs have also been soft on the defensive end, ranking 19th in Defensive Rating. We’ve seen Murray flash his upside of 60+ fantasy points multiple times this season, and tonight he’s in a prime spot to deliver again.
Malik Monk ($5,000 DK, $4,900 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Malik Monk | LAL | 56 | 26 | 30 | 27.2 | 12.7 | 42.9 | 5.5 | 5 |
The Lakers are in free fall. They are losers of their last 4 games and have only secured a victory 1 time out of their last 8 games. Tonight’s matchup against the Warriors isn’t as tough of a draw as it could be, as Draymond Green is OUT with a back injury. Monk has rightfully stepped into a primary offensive role on this team; the Lakers NEED his offense. He has started the last 2 games and taken an average of 11.5 shots in each contest.
Forward
LeBron James ($11,200 DK, $10,300 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| LeBron James | LAL | 45 | 21 | 24 | 36.8 | 28.8 | 88.1 | 12.5 | 12.8 |
Lebron James is questionable tonight, so we will have to take a wait-and-see approach here. However, this game is on national television in a prime time slot against the Golden State Warriors, and I’m pretty confident that Lebron will suit up and try to put the team on his back. As mentioned previously, the Warriors will be without some of their better defenders as Draymond Green, Gary Payton, and Andre Iguodala are all OUT.
Miles Bridges ($7,600 DK, $7,100 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Miles Bridges | CHA | 61 | 29 | 32 | 36.2 | 20 | 61.9 | 12.2 | 7 |
It’s a smaller 5 game slate tonight, so we’re going to have to focus on the best game environments. As mentioned previously, this matchup against the Spurs and Hornets can be a shoot-out. Over his last 6 games, Bridges has averaged 21.3 points, 9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.3 stocks across 38.8 minutes per game. Gordon Hayward continues to be OUT with an ankle injury, and LaMelo is in a shooting slump; the Hornets will need to lean on Bridges for production.
Power Forward & Center
Jaren Jackson Jr. ($6,100 DK, $6,800 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Jaren Jackson Jr. | MEM | 62 | 41 | 21 | 27.9 | 16.6 | 37.7 | 11.3 | 2.1 |
The Grizzlies are must-see TV at this point, primarily due to the heroic efforts of Ja Morant, but we can’t ignore the impact triple J has out on the floor. Avoiding foul trouble is his main problem; he’s averaging 4.4 fouls per 36 minutes this season which makes him a riskier play on most slates. Tonight’s matchup against the Magic is favorable, and Orlando ranks 20th in Defensive Rating and 26th in fantasy points allowed to the power forward position. I won’t advocate playing Jackson Jr. in your cash games, but he’s an excellent tournament play tonight with a nice ceiling.
Drew Eubanks ($4,600 DK, $3,900 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Drew Eubanks | POR | 52 | 17 | 35 | 12.7 | 4.9 | 23.3 | 7.3 | 1.9 |
Eubanks is on his second 10-day contract with the Blazers, filling a much-needed void due to injuries. He’s started the last 2 games and averaged 13 points and 9 rebounds. His Fanduel price is a little more appealing, but that will also cause him to be a bit more popular. Regardless, he’s a great value on both sites tonight.
