Team Liquid (TL) v.s. Team SoloMid FTX (TSM) (3:30 PM EST) (-433 TL)
To start the slate the team with the lowest win-rate in TSM (1-7) will try to rebound from their three-game losing streak against a team currently tied for first in TL (6-2). TSM has had the worst mid-lane rating in the league thus far with a -25.2 rate which could be the first flaw TL may capitalize on. Bjergsen is also one of the top mid-laners in the league let alone is TL team with a 9.9 KDA. Therefore, there’s potential for him to dominate here. Also, TSM doesn’t have a dominant player in the slaying category that stands out, so it’d have to be a collaborative effort even more for them to slow down TL. Unfortunately, for TSM they have a disadvantage in the objective as well with a 33% dragon control rate compared to TL’s 63% rate.
Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) v.s. Evil Genuises (EG) (4:30 PM EST) (-293 EG)
Both teams here enter this matchup on win-streaks with CLG winning one game in a row, and EG two. Mid-lane will also be a huge factor here with both teams struggling slightly in this regard, CLG having the second worst in the league right now at -19.4, but EG not being that much better with a -4.3 rating. Jojopyun has the slight damage advantage of 27.4% over the opposing mid-laner in Palafox which should give EG some edge in this regard. Danny also has the slaying edge with a current 4.4 KDA at the attack-damage carry position (bot-lane) which could make battles even easier for EG throughout the match.
Cloud9 (C9) v.s. FlyQuest (FLY) (5:30 PM EST) (-180 C9)
C9 is currently the top team in the league at the moment (tied for first with TL) and currently tied for the longest win streak at three. FLY is also among the top half of the standings too, but currently on a two-game losing streak. C9 has the biggest edge in the jungle lane with a rating of 54.7% compared to FLY’s 48.2%. Blaber is also the second highest kill-participator for C9 at the moment behind Fudge in middle lane so these two most likely may end up contributing the most for their team. This puts a lot more pressure on FLY as well since their second most efficient slayer in Josedeodo may end up having some slightly trouble in jungle lane. That being said since both teams are efficient in slaying compared to others in the league this match can end up either really close or really south for FLY.
Golden Guardians (GG) v.s. Immortals (IMT) (6:30 PM EST) (-116 GG)
IMT is also the other team with the longest win-streak at the moment at three games and face off with a GG team that is currently tied with them at a 4-4 record. The objective is really close for both teams with a 52% dragon control rate for IMT, and 50% for GG, so slaying will become even more of a factor. Since IMT has three players with KDA’s north of 3 they should have some edge here with PowerOfEvil leading the way and with the highest kill-participation (72.2%). However, Pridestalker is the most efficient slayer of both teams with a 3.6 KDA in the jungle lane which may cause him to have to carry the majority of the load for GG. In addition, GG currently has a negative mid-lane rating (-3.0), which could be the opening PowerOfEvil needs to help his team succeed. Regardless, this match has potential to go down to the wire.
100 Thieves (100) v.s. Dignitas (DIG) (7:30 PM EST) (-191 100)
To conclude the slate, this may end up being one of the more one-sided matchups in favor of 100. Despite their one game losing streak, 100 is still among the top half of teams in the league and will face a DIG squad with the biggest drought in the league at the moment (four-game losing streak). 100 is also the strongest slaying team in the league at the moment with a team overall K/D of 1.60, which should give them massive edge in that regard against a DIG team with a 0.88 team overall K/D. FBI more than likely may be the main player contributing to kills for 100 with the highest kill-participation (73.2%) in the attack damage carry role. Biofrost of DIG would also have twice the work to handle being the support main and highest kill-participator of his team. The first tower rates are neutral for both teams as well with a 63% rate which could lead to the objective going either way, but the kills in battle may be just too much for DIG to handle.
