Gambit eSports (GY) v.s. Ninjas In Pyjamas (NIP) (9:45 AM EST)
GY will be coming off a game eliminating series sending their opponent home and looking for revenge against a NIP squad that defeated them the last time these teams faced off. Although, GY may be expected to win here from the surface NIP were more successful in clutches and also coming off a win with momentum too. Fortunately, hampus of NIP is coming off a positive kill-death differential game and led the way in kills for NIP in the last match so there’s definitely a chance he performs similar to that. However, nafany may not reward NIP with as much deaths this time and finally rebounded in his team’s last win with a positive kill-death differential after two negative series before that. Ax1LE and Hobbit also still lead the way in damage for GY (88.2/83.8) so they have a good chance of being the top two slayers for their team once again. That being said with GY out-slaying NIP in the last series, nafany having the potential to not die as much could be all that they need to get their revenge.
Virtus.Pro (VP) v.s. Heroic (HERO) (9:45 AM EST)
VP continue their hot streak of six games in a row and now face a tougher opponent in HERO this time that has defeated them in a close series last time 2-1. The slaying was on the even side across the board for HERO but TeSeS led the way in damage per round at 79.1, but he is now the lowest damage dealer on the team so someone else may have to step up. Luckily, for VP their top slayer in the last matchup in YEKINDAR is still the strongest damage dealer for VP at 95.5 and of both teams. This should give VP more of an edge in gunfights, especially with the slaying not being as high for HERO. On the other hand, stavn is right there in damage with YEKINDAR with 93.4 per round as of late this may cause the battle for both teams to go down to the wire. VP has a really good chance to rebound and get their revenge here though unless TeSeS is able to step it up once again for HERO.
Natus Vincere (NATUS) v.s. FaZe Clan (FAZE) (1:00 PM EST)
FAZE were finally able to get their recently acquired teammate back in the lineup in ropz last win and it couldn’t have been at a perfect time for this game against the number one team in the game in NATUS. Although NATUS swept FAZE the last time these teams met 2-0, the rounds per map were close. S1mple also wasn’t as dominant as usual and ended up as the second most efficient player for NATUS in the previous matchup. On the other hand, Twistzz ended up the most efficient for FAZE, and fortunately for him and the rest of FAZE he is coming off a +15 kill-death differential game so that momentum may help him perform well. Perfecto is also the second to last least damage dealer for NATUS which can be an opening for FAZE to take advantage of since he was NATUS most efficient slayer in the last faceoff. S1mple will have an edge over broky though in sniping with the most damage per round (82.9) compared to his 74.1 so this may complicate things for FAZE as well. That being said this match may end up going down to the wire and can go either way.
