DraftKings CoD Esports DFS Rundown (CDL) – February 20, 2022 – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights – fantasycruncher.com

Seattle Surge (SEA) v.s. London Royal Ravens (LON) (3:00 PM EST) (-163 SEA)

SEA and LON face off once again since their matchup in the Kickoff Classic, in which SEA swept the series 3-0. However, both teams will be looking to rebound here after getting their win-streaks snapped. Mack and Sib were the most dominant players in the submachine gun/flex roles in that last matchup with 1.29/1.28 K/D’s especially Sib in the search and destroy with a 1.60 K/D. This will be crucial since LON have been really good across all gametypes, but their slaying has been weakest in hardpoint with a 1.09 team overall K/D compared to SEA’s 1.10. This should give SEA a chance to get early momentum with Sib most likely the one to help SEA get over the edge along with his teammates as these teams fight for third seed going into the first Major.

OpTic Texas (OTX) v.s. Boston Breach (BOS) (4:30 PM EST) (-145 OTX)

OTX were finally able to get the ball rolling after their first win, despite Shotzzy causing some controversy by accidently using a banned attachment on his gun for map one. BOS will be coming off a tough loss in which they gave their opponent their first win of the season but in a close series. Scump of OTX has given his respect to this team’s potential pre-season so OTX more than likely will turn it up a notch against them. BOS will also be at a disadvantage to start since they are 3-6 in respawn gametypes so far, and those are OTX’s strongest gametypes (7-3 record). Shotzzy has been the most efficient slayer for OTX (1.08 K/D) in hardpoints/control so he has a good chance to bring his momentum into his team’s last match into this one. Although, BOS has been one of the strongest search and destroy teams in the game they finally lost a map yesterday, which could lead to more regression.

New York Subliners (NYS) v.s. Atlanta FaZe (ATL) (6:00 PM EST) (-525 ATL)

NYS finally got their first win of the season yesterday and it came down to the wire and behind the clutch kills of HyDra to close the gap. However, NYS will get an even tougher opponent against the best team in the league as of now in ATL. HyDra was able to be a main contributor to NYSL defeating ATL last year in his rookie season so it will be interesting to see how much he can do this time around. NYS has acknowledged the fact they struggle in respawn gametypes (hardpoint specifically) which will be significant because hardpoints start of the series and can shift momentum early. Unfortunately, for NYS, ATL is one of the best respawn teams at the moment with an 8-3 record. Cellium has been the most efficient in the respawn gametypes this season so far with a 1.30 K/D (hardpoint/control) and aBeZy has been gradually getting back to form with a 1.23 K/D in hardpoint, specifically which is the highest on the team. Therefore, if HyDra is unable to have a dominant performance in the respawn gametypes for NYS they may end up struggling heavily.
