Slate Notes
- Rogue finally became human last weekend as they have now lost two straight, falling to 9-2 on the year. This week they face 5-6 Mad Lions, who Rogue put 26 kills up on back in week two. Rogue is priced third across the board and still are favorites in this matchup, though only at -162.
- Astralis came away with the massive upset of Rogue last week, but fell in their next game to G2. With a 1-10 record we still need to treat them as the worst team in the league at this point. Fnatic is a -600 favorite here.
- The rest of the slate feels straightforward, of course, that is not how it always goes. Vitality defeated Team BDS when they met earlier in the year, while G2 handled SK Gaming with ease.
- The toss-up game on this slate and the one I am looking forward to the most is Misfits against Excel, as both teams are now on 3 game-winning streaks and sit 4th and 5th in the standings. Misfits won the first time they met this year, but XL has played the tougher schedule through their winning streak with Patrik and Nukeduck ranking up with the likes of Rogue and G2 in terms of KDA.
- There are five teams on Friday’s cheat sheet, mostly due to G2/FNC/VIT all being in good spots. Rogue is variable right now, but have a high ceiling if they turn it around. If you need deep value, I like XL.
