Please note that players on DraftKings and FanDuel have multi-position eligibility and may not always match their position between each other. In this article, we will be breaking down some of our favorite plays on the slate at their positions. Remember to always keep your eye on the news as the day progresses, as NBA news changes the slate frequently.
Guards
Tre Mann ($4,900 DK, $4,900 FD)
| Team Total | Usage Rate | Fantasy Points Per Minute | Opponent Defensive Net Rating Rank | Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game to Position |
| 100.25 | 20.1% | 0.72 | 1st | 43.65 |
Most of the time in DFS we are looking for players that can put up huge games but it is also okay to roster players that we know are going to give us solid games and that is Mann. While Mann has shown glimpses of getting us huge games such as the 37.5 fantasy points we saw from him against the Mavs earlier this month that is not what we are going to see from him every night. What we are going to see is a player who is going to play over 30 minutes a night until Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returns and produce in the 20 plus fantasy point range as he has produced that amount of fantasy points in three of his last four games.
Klay Thompson ($6,300 DK, $6,400 FD)
| Team Total | Usage Rate | Fantasy Points Per Minute | Opponent Defensive Net Rating Rank | Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game to Position |
| 112.25 | 30.0% | 1.13 | 10th | 42.24 |
Thompson has not had a huge game yet since his return from injury and has yet to play 30 minutes but that doesn’t bother me as Thompson has been solid especially over his last four games. In those four games, Thompson is averaging 19 points, 4.8 rebounds, four assists, and 1.3 steals+blocks in 25.9 minutes. Thompson has at least 27 fantasy points in each of those four games and is averaging 1.26 fantasy points per minute. Tonight I am expecting more of the same from Thompson against a Thunder team that has allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to shooting guards this season.
Forwards
Kyle Kuzma ($7,400 DK, $8,200 FD)
| Team Total | Usage Rate | Fantasy Points Per Minute | Opponent Defensive Net Rating Rank | Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game to Position |
| 103.25 | 22.4% | 1.01 | 6th | 37.69 |
As long as Beal is out I am going to be rostering Kuzma. Kuzma’s numbers this season with Beal out are solid especially for someone with the salary as Kuzma. This season with Beal off the court Kuzma leads the Wizards in usage at 26.6% and is averaging 1.13 fantasy points per minute. In the 12 games that Beal has missed altogether, Kuzma is averaging 18.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.7 steals+blocks, and 36.91 fantasy points.
Power Forward/Centers
Pascal Siakam ($9,200 DK, $9,700 FD)
| Team Total | Usage Rate | Fantasy Points Per Minute | Opponent Defensive Net Rating Rank | Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game to Position |
| 113.00 | 25.3% | 1.15 | 24th | 46.41 |
None of the expensive players on this slate stand out for me as a must-play over the others. I have all of them fairly ranked. With that said the expensive player I am going to have the most exposure to on this slate is Siakam. I am going to have the most exposure to Siakam due to the match-up against the Hornets. The Hornets are an excellent match-up for big men as they have the second-worst team rebounding rate and rank in the bottom five in fantasy points allowed to power forwards/centers. Siakam also played really well against them in their earlier meeting this season. In that game a couple of weeks ago, Siakam went for 24 points, nine rebounds, 12 assists, and a block on his way to 52.8 fantasy points.
Mamadi Diakite ($3,700 DK, $3,900 FD)
| Team Total | Usage Rate | Fantasy Points Per Minute | Opponent Defensive Net Rating Rank | Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game to Position |
| 100.25 | 12.5% | 0.86 | 1st | 50.36 |
I always like to give you one dirt cheap player in this article to consider and today that player is Diakite. Diakite has started the last three games for the Thunder with Jeremiah Robinson-Earl out and has played well. In those three games, Diakite is averaging 7.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks. Diakite has at least 18 fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging 23 fantasy points during this time frame. While 23 fantasy points might not seem like a lot of fantasy points it easily pays of Diakite’s dirt cheap salary.
