Please note that players on DraftKings and FanDuel have multi-position eligibility and may not always match their position between each other. In this article, we will be breaking down some of our favorite plays on the slate at their positions. Remember to keep your eye on the news as the day progresses, as NBA news frequently changes the slate.
Point Guard
Tre Jones ($3,000 DK, $4,100 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Tre Jones | SAS | 39 | 17 | 22 | 12.6 | 4.3 | 26.4 | 3.3 | 4.1 |
The Spurs will be without Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, Jakob Poeltl, and Keita Bates-Diop for tonight’s matchup against the Suns. We have a ton of value available to us on this slate, but Tre Jones at minimum salary on DraftKings appears to be the most crucial decision point. In 547 possessions with White and Murray off the floor, Jones averages .91 fantasy points per minute. It’s reasonable to project Jones to start and play around 30 minutes tonight, and he should quickly pay off his salary.
Shooting Guard
Devin Booker ($9,800 DK, $9,400 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Devin Booker | PHX | 39 | 32 | 7 | 33.5 | 25.3 | 54.6 | 9.4 | 7.5 |
With all the value available tonight, we’ll need to pay up for a couple of guys. Devin Booker has been hot; lately, he’s averaging 32 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists over his last 6 games, and on the season, he’s averaging 1.24 fantasy points per minute. I’ll be riding the hot hand tonight with Book.
Small Forward
Saddiq Bey ($6,100 DK, $5,600 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Saddiq Bey | DET | 46 | 11 | 35 | 33.5 | 15.5 | 51.2 | 9.3 | 5 |
Small forward is a bit thin tonight on both sites, but Bey is an excellent mid-range option to plugin. The Pistons will continue to be without a high-usage player in Jerami Grant. In 2071 possessions with Grant off the floor, Bey averages .94 fantasy points per minute.
Power Forward
Maxi Kleber ($3,700 DK, $4,200 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Maxi Kleber | DAL | 34 | 20 | 14 | 24.7 | 7.4 | 39.5 | 9.7 | 2.9 |
Porzingis is OUT tonight with right knee soreness, which opens up some extra opportunity. Maxi has been hot over his last two games, scoring 39 and 28.75 fantasy points. The Magic are ranked 29th in fantasy points allowed to the center position.
Center
Nikola Jokic ($12,400 DK, $11,500 FD)
| PLAYER | TEAM | GP | W | L | MIN | PTS | TOUCHES | REB CHANCES | POTENTIAL AST |
| Nikola Jokic | DEN | 42 | 25 | 17 | 33.2 | 26.2 | 100.5 | 21.3 | 13.6 |
As we’ve already mentioned, we have to pay up in some spots with all the value available. Jokic is always my preferred pay-up option when he’s on the slate, regardless of the matchup at hand. Tonight’s matchup against the Bucks is a positive one. The Bucks rank 24th in fantasy points allowed to the center position, and I’m expecting another solid outing from Jokic tonight.
