Slate Notes
- We have a much tighter slate on Saturday with Mad Lions the highest favored at -247 against Misfits. Misfits had a nice comeback against G2 on Friday, but ultimately were out scaled too early to make it back into the fight. Mad Lions had a relatively easy win over XL.
- Rogue absolutely dominated Fnatic on Friday to take their spot at the top of the LEC at 6-0. They run into Team Vitality on Saturday – a team who had a horrible three-loss start to the season but has really gelled as a team recently and now 3-3. Vitality was the preseason favorite in the LEC, so this matchup sets up very well between two very good teams. Rogue once again comes in at a discount here and has done absolutely everything to prove they shouldn’t be discounted at all. I will continue to run Rogue at whatever price and whatever matchup until they show some weakness. This is a team with four players inside the top six for total KDA.
- G2 vs Fnatic is an early-season banger as Fnatic is coming off of their first loss and G2 coming off of a massive team performance in a win over Misfits. My tune doesn’t change here, take the discounts when you can. G2 is priced second to last at some positions. That just isn’t correct here.
- XL vs Astralis could end up as a game in the optimal. Astralis let me down on Friday losing to Team BDS, who on paper is statistically the worst team in the LEC. XL is 2-3 on the year but has seen some big games from Patrik and Markoon in the past. I will run with XL here against a way worse opponent and hope we don’t see a let down.
