LNG Esports (LNG) v.s. Team WE (2:00 AM EST) (-450 LNG)

LNG have been rolling as of late and now get the benefit of facing a WE squad that is currently near the bottom of the standings with a three-game losing streak. The dragon control rate edge of 58% for LNG should give them a massive edge in objective compared to WE’s 39%. Light is currently leading his LNG team in cspmn (minions/monsters killed) and the highest kill-participator (81.6%) in the bot-lane (attack-damage carry) so his team more than likely will rely on him most. Unfortunately, no one on WE is close to slaying as well as Light’s 14 KDA so WE may struggle unless Shanks can cause some trouble in mid-lane (7.1 KDA).

Fredit BRION (BRO) v.s. DWG KIA (DK) (3:00 AM EST) (-383 DK)

Defending champs DK have been quite streaky will look to rebound against a BRO team just below them one place in the standings. The slaying has not been great for both teams but DK does have a 0.95 team overall K/D compared to BRO’s 0.77 which should give them some leeway. DK also has a 50% first tower rate compared to BRO’s 13% which bodes well for DK’s objectives. Canyon and deokdam should be the ones for DKto cause havoc in the jungle and attack-damage-carry roles and with 4.5 and 4.1 KDAs. UmTi is the only one for BRO that’s close to that efficiency as the jungle main (4.2 KDA), but since he may get countered by Canyon in the majority of battle the chances for BRO to win may be slim.

FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) v.s. JD Gaming (JDG) (4:00 AM EST) (-375 FPX)

FPX have been solidifying themselves as a top team to start and are currently among the three undefeated teams in the league. JD will be tested as they try to extend their win-streak and bring their record to neutral. The fact FPX has a 42.9% first tower rate compared to 14.3% of JD’s should give FPX early momentum and complement their damage per minute advantage. The pressure will be on Hope with a 37 KDA in bot-lane, but if JDG haven’t been able to be consistent thus far it’s hard to picture them shutting FPX down with their recent struggles.

Edward Gaming (EDG) v.s. Oh My God (OMG) (6:00 AM EST) (-488 EDG)

OMG have been finally regressing slightly and received just their second loss to start this season and now face an EDG squad trying to stay undefeated at the top of the standings. The kills per game are even at 17 for both teams but EDG have been valuing their lives a little more (9 deaths per game to OMG’s 14.6). This will be crucial because EDG should get more opportunities to complete the objective. EDG also has an 85.7% first tower rate advantage over OMG’s 33.3%. Viper and Scout alone will be difficult to contain at the mid and bot-lane roles with 9.1 and 9.3 KDAs which is higher than anyone on OMG. That being said since OMG may be at a slight disadvantage both slaying wise and staying alive it may be difficult for them to prevail, but this match has potential to stay close.

Gen.G (GEN) v.s. Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) (6:00 AM EST) (-763 GEN)

GEN currently sit at top of the standings undefeated and now face off with a HLE team that’s looking to rebound from their two-game losing streak. HLE currently has the second-worst mid-lane (-7.4 rating) to start this season which fits perfectly for GEN who happens to be the strongest mid-lane team at the moment (26 rating). In other words, Chovy should dominate here and fortunately, for GEN he leads the team in kill-participation. HLE also has a lower dragon control rate (41%) which could cause them to struggle with the objective against GEN’s 52%. In conclusion, this may end up as one of the more one-sided matchups on the slate, especially since HLE doesn’t really have a player that can slow down Chovy at the moment.
