DraftKings & FanDuel LoL Esports DFS Rundown (LCK-LPL) – January 21, 2022 – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights – fantasycruncher.com

LGD Esports v.s. Ultra Prime (UP) (2:00 AM EST) (-325 UP)

Bottom tier teams in the standings currently will face off here and they’re both almost equally struggling with slaying. However, UP has the slight edge of .71 team overall K/D compared to LGD’s 0.69. Elk more than likely will lead the way in the attack-damage carry role along with his teammate H4cker in the jungle position. Elk currently is the most efficient with a 3 KDA and may end up building on UP’s lane-control edge of 57.3% compared to LGD’s 56.8%. Therefore, LGD may end up losing in this matchup but there is potential for it to go back and forth.

Kwangdon Freecs (KDF) v.s. Liiv Sandbox (LSB) (3:00 AM EST) (-131 KDF)

KDF has been struggling the most out of any team in the league with zero wins and the lowest team overall K/D (0.35). This should automatically give LSB a large edge since they have a 1.05 team overall K/D. KDF’s biggest flaw at the moment is their -19.1 middle lane rating. Clozer will benefit the most off this factor for LSB in the mid-lane. Also, Clozer is the most efficient slayer for LSB with a 4.5 KDA so he more than likely will have a large contribution to LSB’s success in this matchup.

Anyone’s Legend (AL) v.s. Royal Never Give Up (RNG) (4:00 AM EST) (-525 RNG)

AL find themselves in a tough matchup as they try to climb from the bottom of half of the standings (2-5 record) versus a RNG squad with a 5-3 record. RNG is currently on a two-game winning streak as well as AL tries to recover from a two-game losing streak. Fortunately, for AL both teams have first-blood rates in similar ranges, but RNG does have the edge with a 75% rate versus AL’s 71%. GALA may be the one to contribute heavily for RNG in the slaying category as one of the top bot-laners in the league currently (7.2 KDA). On the other hand, Maple is the most efficient slayer out of both teams in the middle-lane position so this may come down to the wire. RNG has the higher dragon rate of 61% compared to AL’s 50$ though so they may end up succeeding mainly because of the objective.

Thunder Talk Gaming (TT) v.s. Weiibo Gaming (WBG) (6:00 AM EST) (-1413 WBG)

TT is currently the worst team in the league right now with an 0-8 record and struggling the most with slaying (0.50 team overall K/D). WBG has the biggest gap with the jungle rate of 50.6% compared to the 43.1% rate of TT. SofM will be able to take advantage of this for WBG as their jungle main. Angel is also one of the top mid-laners in the league with a 9.3 KDA which should boost WBG’s chances of winning as well. Unfortunately, TT has no slayers above a 2 KDA besides their support main which may cause them to struggle early.

KT Rolster (KT) v.s. Nongshim RedForce (NS) (6:00 AM EST) (-145 NS)

To end the slate these teams are quite evenly matched (5-3 record for NS, 4-2 record for KT). KT does have the objective edge with a 63% dragon rate compared to NS’s 56%. Aiming may be the first to lead the charge for KT and has consistently maintained a high K/D of 7.3 at the attack-damage carry. The only person capable of slaying in that capacity is Peter but he is playing the support role for NS. Peter does have the highest kill-participation for NS though, so there’s a chance he may be able to counter KT’s best player in Aiming. All in all, this is another match that can potentially go down to the wire.
