DWG KIA (DK) v.s. Nongshim RedForce (NS) (3:00 AM EST) (-286 DK)
The two teams tied at third in the standings now face off with DK trying to recover from their tough loss. DWG’s middle lane has been their flaw at the moment which NS currently has an edge in with a 9.1 rating to their -7.4. This gives Bdd an opportunity to take advantage for NS in the mid-lane position. However, Bdd may not make that much of an impact since he has the second to lowest kill-participation on his team. Peter does have the highest KDA out of both teams though with a 9 KDA which will be difficult to maintain but if he is able to stay as efficient and help Bdd succeed in the mid-lane NS may have a chance at an upset here.
Top Esports (TES) v.s. Team WE (WE) (4:00 AM EST) (-435 TES)
WE find themselves at the bottom of the standings (second to last, 1-4) and now face a TES team that’s not too far ahead of them with a 2-3 record. TES does have a slaying advantage gap though of 1.29 overall compared to WE’s 0.76. This may cause WE to have some struggles early in battle unless Shanks is able to carry the load for WE, as their mid-laner and most efficient slayer with a 6.3 KDA. Unfortuantely, WE has a 20% first-blood rate compared to TES’ 80% so the chances of that happening may be slim. TES also has the better dragon control rate of 54% compared to WE’s 39% so WE’s chances of succeeding overall with be tough.
Invictus Gaming (IG) v.s. LNG Esports (LNG) (6:00 AM EST) (-563 LNG)
LNG seem to be getting back on a roll this season and look to continue their two-game win streak against an IG squad that received their first loss last game. LNG already has an immediate edge in slaying with a 1.35 team overall K/D compared to IG’s 0.89. Light has been one of the top attack-damage carries in this league and should cause havoc against IG based off his 10.2 KDA start. On the other hand, IG does have a chance to gain early momentum due to their 50% first-blood rate compared to LNG’s 20%. Neny is IG’s best chance of causing that early momentum since he is second in kill-participation at 61.5% and only player on IG with a slaying advantage compared to his opposing position. Therefore, if Neny can dominate his position on to of the early momentum IG has potential to cause an upset if they’re able to somehow slow down Light.
Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) v.s. KT Rolster (KT) (6:00 AM EST) (-210 KT)
This match will be interesting because both teams are at even records (HLE- 3-3, KT- 2-2), and both have been underperforming in the mid-lane. KT has been performing more poorly though with a -5.8 rating versus HLE’s -4.6. Fortunately, for HLE their mid-laner in Karis has the second highest kill-participation at 69.7% behind his teammate SamD (74.2%). This should ensure that Karis will more than likely be able to contribute heavily especially against KT’s mid-lane flaw and possibly defend his team’s. The battle won’t be as easy though because the opposing mid-laner in Aria is a more efficient slayer (5.0 KDA), while Karis has a 3.5 KDA. In other words, the victor of this matchup may come down to the wire and the mid-laners may end up determining that factor.
