Guild Esports scores UK£4.5m Bitstamp sponsorship – SportsPro – SportsPro Media

  • Guild secures largest sponsorship deal since being founded in 2019

David Beckham-backed competitive gaming organisation Guild Esports has inked a three-year global sponsorship deal with cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp worth UK£4.5 million (US$6.1 million).

The contract will kick in on 29th January and is the largest commercial partnership signed by Guild since it was founded in 2019.

As part of the agreement, Luxembourg-based Bitstamp, which says it has more than four million customers worldwide, will be given branding on Guild’s team jersey, plus additional marketing inventory.

Furthermore, Bitstamp will appear across social and digital content featuring Guild’s pro players and content creators. Bitstamp’s logo and brand will also be integrated at Guild’s new London headquarters, which are due to open early this year.

As well as counting former England soccer captain Beckham as an investor, Guild has backing from the likes of Toro Consulting, Blue Star Capital and Schroder Investment Management. Guild currently competes in Apex Legends, FIFA, Fortnite, Rocket League and Valorant.
