Week 17 NFL DFS Tight Ends (TE) Targets For DraftKings & FanDuel – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights – fantasycruncher.com

Welcome to the FC Insights Tight End Targets Article. In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays at the TE position for each DFS week of the 2021-2022 NFL DFS season.

Top Plays

Ricky Seals-Jones (DK- $3,300, FD- $5,000)

Opponent Team Total Opponent Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game To TEs
PHI 20.75 17.83

With PHI having an advantage with their WRs against WAS’s defense, WAS has a chance to counter back with their TE edge. PHIis currently surrendering the most fantasy points to the TE position. This bodes well for Ricky Seals-Jones who is the number one targeted TE for the WAS team with (47) total. Despite Seals-Jones getting less targets than his teammate John Bates last game the route participation is still in favor of Seals-Jones with 57% compared to Bates’ 25.2%. Therefore, RSJ may be worth the risk and more so on Draftkings where his price is closer to the minimum.

Tommy Tremble (DK- $2,500, FD- $4,500)

@ NO 16 10.06

NO is surrendering the ninth least fantasy points to the TE position but the fact that one of their linebackers in Demario Davis has one of the least pass deflections compared to other top linebackers on the slate may be the opening CAR needs. The CAR offense has been struggling though and were swapping through both quarterbacks last game so those considering Tommy Tremble should tread lightly. However, with the edge CAR has against Demario Davis the risk may be worth it for those that need salary relief at the TE position.

Noah Fant (DK- $4,400, FD- $5,300)

Opponent Team Total Opponent Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game To TEs
@ LAC 26 16.96

Fant’s performance has been slightly regressing some but he still is a top ten targeted TE in the red zone. With an opportunity against a LAC team surrendering the second most fantasy points to the TE position there is potential for Fant to receive more life. The volume also won’t be in question with Fant receiving more than double the targets (81) than his teammate at the same position. Although Fant was unable to rack up yardage in the last meeting these teams had this season, he almost reached double-digit targets last season. Therefore, there should be no surprise if Fant reaches that range with the advantage they have this meeting.

Foster Moreau (DK- $3,800, FD- $5,200)

@ IND 19 16.82

Darren Waller is potentially out once again which opens up a ton of volume for the LV offense. Outside of Hunter Renfrow, Foster Moreau would be the next up to make up for Waller’s volume. Fortunately, Moreau’s target separation is tied with Darren Waller so he can sneakily perform just as well due to that. LV also has a chance to capitalize off of that with IND surrendering the third most fantasy points to the TE position.

Value Play(s) for DK/FD

DK/FD- Anthony Firkser ($2,600/$4,600)

Opponent Team Total Opponent Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game To TEs
MIA 22 12.06

Since A.J. Brown may receive the majority of the attention from the MIA defense this may give Firkser some breathing room on the field and a chance to take advantage of one of MIA’s linebacker’s having pass deflections on the lower end (Andrew Van Ginkel). Firkser also has more yards per target (5.9) than his teammate at the same position Geoff Swaim (5.7). This could possibly give Firkser more of an opportunity to receive more targets. However, Anthony Firkser is one of the more riskier value plays and should only be considered as a pivot to A.J. Brown or for salary relief.
