The Shadow Amidst Snowstorms event has arrived in Genshin Impact, and to acquire the new quest rewards, players must collect Snowman Components and make Puffy Snowmen. The event will take place from November 25 to December 13, with the event shop remaining open for another week before shutting on December 20. Because you don’t have to travel far to Genshin Impact to take part in this event, most players will be able to attend. Born of the Snow is the first portion of the event, and it requires special training in Dragonspine to make snowmen. In Genshin Impact, here’s how to get Snowman Components.
How to Start Shadow Amidst Snowstorms
Before you may start the event, you must first meet a few requirements. To begin Shadow Amidst Snowstorms, you must first finish the Dragonspine region’s quests:
- For a Tomorrow Without Tears
- Traveler Observation Report
- Lost in the Snow
It’s worth mentioning that the Traveler Observation Report quest, which unlocks right after For a Tomorrow Without Tears, usually requires a minimum Adventure Rank of 40 to begin. The prerequisite has been dropped to Adventure Rank 20 for this event. After you’ve completed all of the aforementioned missions, you can begin the opening quest for the event The Snowy Past.

How to Get Snowman Components in Genshin Impact
It’s time to start making Puffy Snowmen after initiating the event and hanging out with Albedo for a while. This is a requirement for the first event challenge, Born of the Snow. By selecting the Locate Puffy Snowman option from the event menu, you may view all of the Puffy Snowman locations on a map. To make these, you’ll need Snowman Components. To make a complete Puffy Snowman, you’ll need the following five items:
- Head
- Hands
- Scarf
- Eyes
- Nose
All you have to do to earn Snowman Components is finish Dragonspine Special Training challenges. You’ll get Snowman Heads for completing all of the challenges, but you’ll need to finish the Tracker Training challenge to get the other four components. Melting Ice Crystal Piles strewn around the Dragonspine area is part of the Tracker Training task. Bring a Pyro character to make melting go smoothly. Klee or Yanfei are excellent choices, but any Pyro character will suffice.
Because most of the Ice Crystal Piles contain a component, the Tracker Training task is the best way to get Snowman Components. You can also complete the other Dragonspine Special Training challenges, but keep in mind that you’ll only gain Snowman Heads if you complete them. If you have excess components, you can exchange them with friends by going to the event menu and selecting Exchange Components.
How to Get the Cinnabar Spindle
All you have to do to acquire the four-star event sword, the Cinnabar Spindle, is make one Puffy Snowman. As a result, you’ll require one of each component. Of course, Genshin Impact gamers are well aware that gaining the weapon is just the beginning. To gain the Cinnabar Spindle refining materials, you’ll need to earn event currency and buy them from the event shop.
