Doom Eternal’s 6.66 update includes a Free Horde Mode
Horde Mode in Doom Eternal is now available in the new free Update 6.66.
Players in the arcade-style mode fight waves of demons to earn new weapons and tasks, battling online via seasonal leaderboards.
Completing all of the encounters and challenges results in the unlocking of over seven additional skins, including the Doom 2 Slayer and the Biker Slayer.

A plethora of new stuff has also been introduced.
The competitive 2v1 Battlemode has been improved. The mode pits two player-controlled demons against a fully equipped Doom slayer; there’s also a streak-based ranking system, leaderboards, a new arena called Stronghold, and a playable Dread Knight demon.
In addition, two new master levels have been added: Mars Core and The World Spear. In this mode, players face off against remixed demon encounters in a brand new fighting experience.
It’s the game’s biggest free update yet, with balancing changes, new prizes, and cosmetics.
A PvP Invasions Mode was planned as additional content, however due to the pandemic, id Software scrapped it in favour of this new horde mode.
Update 6.66 is now available for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles.
