Semper Fortis Esports PLC (AQSE:SEMP) has had its branding brought into the official Rocket League Esports Shop, for the upcoming RLCS season.
Digital items carrying Semper Fortis logos and/or designs will now be available on the in-game store which opens an avenue for revenue generation for the company. It will include team-designed in-game home and away kits.
Semper Fortis noted that additionally on the eve of the new Rocket League season there are sponsorship and broadcast opportunities for the company.
“After accepting the invitation to join the Rocket League affiliate program, Semper Fortis will now have a significant participation in the in-game IP of the Rocket League game,” said chief operating officer Jassem Osseiran.
“This is an excellent opportunity for the company’s team SMPR to diversify its revenue sources through in-game assets and also provides sponsors with alternative and long-lasting viewership in-game.”
The company is part of the Rocket Affiliate Program by the game’s developer Psyonix. It grants a number of League, sponsorship, and revenue benefits.
Rocket League is a popular online game, which sees more than 90mln users per month on average.
The game itself is a cross between a driving game and football, whereby gamers control a vehicle and compete to shunt a giant ball into the opponent’s goal.
