FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) v.s. Berlin International Gaming (BIG) (1:00 PM EST) (-175 BIG)
FPX will try to continue their streak and fortunately play against a team they defeated twice in their last two faceoffs in BIG. Maden led the way for FPX both matches with a +26 kill-death differential so he may be expected to dominate once again especially since he does the most damage per round (78.4) as of late. Luckily for BIG tabseN has been dealing the most damage out of both sides with 83 per round but he was only able to be efficient in one of the matchups so it could get tricky. Regardless everyone else on BIG averages less damage than the players on FPX so if FPX is able to somehow slowdown tabseN, the win may end up going in their favor.
G2 Esports (G2) v.s. Copenhagen Flames (CPHF) (1:00 PM EST) (-209 G2)
Both these teams will be trying to retain their win streaks as G2 have won two straight games while CPHF have won three straight so far. Although G2 is the higher ranked team at the moment (4th) compared to CPHF (24th), CPHF has a higher win rate (73.3% versus 46.7% from G2). For CPHF, an advantage they already have is nicoodoz (1.18 K/D) being the main sniper on the team and probably not having to worry about countering an opposing sniper due to G2 not having a go to player for that role. The battle between the two highest damage dealers will also also be key for their team’s success (NiKo of G2 vs roeJ of CPHF). NiKo has the slight edge dealing 88.8 damage per round as of late while roeJ deals 86.6 damage so that bodes well for G2. On the other hand, this outcome for the match overall should still end up being extremely close with the win going either way.
Heroic (HERO) v.s. Astralis (ASTRA) (2:00 PM EST) (-150 HERO)
HERO were upset in their last game sadly, and their path to winning again doesn’t get easier as they now face ASTRA coming off a very close victory. Lucikly for HERO, the last time they faced ASTRA resulted in a victory for their team (in a 2-0 sweep). TeSeS had a monster game with a +31 kill-death differential but that may not surprise many since he’s been the most efficient slaye beforer for HERO, but now the third (1.07) behind cadiaN and refrezh. The most efficient slayer for ASTRA as of now has been dupreeh with a 1.10 K/D but he was among the bottom in kills in the last match these teams had which could be a problem for ASTRA. Magisk does average the most damage on the ASTRA squad but if his teammates end up struggling again like the last matchup there shouldn’t be a surprise if this match results in a sweep again in favor of HERO.
Sinners (SIN) v.s. Endpoint (ENPT) (2:00 PM EST) (-265 SIN)
Although SIN is coming off a strong win against one of the best teams in the league they now face ENPT that they’re split with series wise 1-1. Oskar’s contributions will be crucial here for SIN especially with the sniper and the duels between him and Jackinho may end up going oskar’s way due to the damage gap (oskar- 77.5, Jackinho- 64.1). However, what will bring SIN over the top is if everyone is able to efficiently kill and not only oskar because when he was only one of the two efficient slayers on SIN and ended up losing. Fortunately, SIN has the higher team overall K/D as of late with 1.07 over ENPT’s 1.01 so the chances of everyone else performing well for SIN is slightly higher. NEOFRAG was the only other player on SIN with a positive kill-death differential along with oskar so he may end up assisting oskar in the lead to help SIN prevail in this series.
