The MLB DFS Dinger of the Day – September 25, 2021 (9/25/21) – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights – fantasycruncher.com

Every day this season, our team shares who we believe has the best chance to leave the yard. From one-off plays to core parts of daily stacks, we hope this fun article will help you build winning lineups along the way.

Today’s Picks

James: Juan Soto – “Aside from simply being one of the hottest current hitters in baseball, he also faces Vladimir Gutierrez of the Reds who has allowed 20 homers over 21 starts on the year. 13 of the 20 homers have come to lefties, who despite hitting at a lower average than righties, carry a slugging advantage of about .80 points. Soto is 17-for-32 with four home runs over his last ten games, which is a .531 batting average and a slugging percentage of 1.000.”

Zach: Freddie Freeman – “Freeman is a hitter that I have chosen a lot in this article the past week or so as he has been hitting the ball really well as of late. Since September 9th, Freeman is slashing .400/.431/.691 with an ISO of .291. Freeman has nine extra-base hits in those games including three home runs. Freeman is not only smoking hot but I love his match-up against Vince Velasquez. Velasquez really struggles against left-handed hitting and this season alone he is allowing them to slash .301/.392/.549 with a .399 wOBA.”

Jared: Joey Votto – “I could easily come to regret this, as Erick Fedde has some pretty intriguing metrics over the last month. That said, he’s still allowed 9 HR in 24.1 IP (3.33 HR/9) in that time, and allows plenty of hard hit balls. Meanwhile, Votto has been phenomenal lately and is in the midst of another red hot streak. He has 3 HR, a .600 ISO and 262 wRC+ in his last 6 games (24 PA), with a team-best 15.4% barrel rate and crazy high fly ball orientation (37.8 degrees). If Fedde makes a mistake to him this evening, it should go a long way.”
