A new set of weekly legendary challenges in Fortnite requires players to deploy scanners in Alien Biomes.

Each week, players are given a new set of weekly Legendary challenges. Completing these challenges rewards players with a massive amount of XP. However, Legendary challenges are only available for 7 days.

That means you will have to complete all six challenges within a week to get the most XP. Some challenges can be difficult, while others are fairly easy.

Legendary challenges often follow a storyline that changes from week to week. This week, it seems Doctor Slone is preparing to make a move against the aliens. In order to do so, Slone needs you to deploy scanners in Alien Biomes.

Fortnite Alien Biome Locations

In order to complete this Legendary challenge, players will have to deploy two scanners. Luckily, there are six scanner locations for players to choose from. However, they aren’t all close together.

All players will need for this challenge is to know where the Alien Biomes are in Fortnite. These are not referring to the abduction sites or the low-gravity fields. Neither is it talking about Abductors or invaded POIs.

Alien Biomes have been a part of Season 7 from the very beginning. They are the small purple areas dotted around the map. There isn’t much going on at each one, but no players have a reason to visit them.

Players will not need a Recon Scanner. All they will need to do is approach the holographic scanner at each location. The map below shows all six Alien Biomes.

The quickest way to complete the challenge is by landing near Pleasant Park. From here, there are two Alien Biomes relatively close to the Pleasant Park scanner.

Players can head south of Pleasant Park for a shorter but more dangerous trek. Or they can head east across the river to a more remote scanner.

Once two scanners have been deployed, players will earn 30k XP. With Fortnite Season 7’s end nearing, players will want to earn as much XP as they can. Especially if they want to earn every exclusive cosmetic.
