Kyle Larson – DK: $11,500 | FD: $14,000  – Starting 6th

This price is steep steep steep, but Larson carries one of the highest ceilings on this slate and if he does meet it there is not going to be a world where you will win a tournament without Larson in it. On intermediate tracks this year Larson has been beyond dominant, winning in Nashville and Charlotte and taking a second place in Dover. At Darlington back in May, Larson finished 2nd, though his score was held back a bit by the lack of laps led. The following week at Dover Larson led 263 laps and had 122 of the fastest. Two weeks after that he led 327 laps at Charlotte – two weeks late he led 264 at Nashville. Larson’s last three races here have netted him a 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd and he led 284 laps back in 2018 here. The price is high, but this is the track type that we have seen Larson front to back dominate.

Ryan Newman – DK: $5,700 | FD: $5,000 – Starting 19th

The starting spot here doesn’t offer us a lot of upside, but Newman does have a ton of experience at Darlington which is usually regarded as one of the more difficult tracks to race at. Newman has netted four straight top-15 finishes here and over his long career has an average finish of 12th. We have seen both sides of Newman this year, sometimes over-aggressive, sometimes too passive, and it shows in his scores. Newman has netted some positive results at similar track sizes this year though, and finished 10th at Darlington earlier this year. Ultimately, the price here is what puts Newman in play, as this is his lowest price in five races and a $1,400 discount off of his price last weekend.
