Fortnite is coming to the end of Season 7, and fans are already looking ahead to all the new changes that Epic Games are planning for the Fortnite Season 8 start. Here’s what we know so far.
Fortnite Season 6 was a memorable one, and Season 7 has proven to be an exciting addition with all the impressive content added. This includes the array of major map changes, UFOs, and the opportunity to unlock the Superman skin.
Now, quite a few players have started looking ahead to the next major update. With Season 8 fast approaching, there is mass speculation about its arrival and how it will change the battle royale.
Here’s what we know about it.
When does Fortnite Season 7 end?

According to notable data miner HYPEX, the Chapter 2, Season 7 Battle Pass will expire on September 12, 2021. If this is true, then Fortnite Season 8 might come with an exciting Halloween-themed battle pass.
Data miners were able to pull this information from the game files after Epic Games temporarily shut down the servers while they implemented the new patch. However, this date isn’t set in stone.
Sometimes, the developers decide to add more content to the battle royale than previously planned. If that’s the case, we could see Season 7 extended to last a while longer.
When does Fortnite Season 8 start?

Generally, the new season launches as soon as the previous one comes to an end. We expect to see Fortnite Season 8 start on 13 September, right after the Season 7 end date.
It’s too soon to tell whether or not Season 7 will have an epic live finale or some solo outing that you can join at any point. Hopefully, the current season will have a memorable conclusion to kick off the Fortnite Season 8 start.
However, the inclusion of a live event does not usually alter the start and end dates for Fortnite seasons based on the Battle Pass timer, so players can expect to see the above date be adhered to unless something major occurs in the game’s development.
What will be in the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass?

While Epic Games haven’t openly confirmed much about what we can expect to see when the Fortnite Season 8 start arrives, a post in the FortniteLeaks subreddit gave us some clues about all the potential new content.
According to the leak, the developers are currently trying to get the Naruto for the Season 8 Battle Pass, along with an explosive kunai weapon. One dev also teased the return of The Cube, which was hinted at in the Ariana Grande concert.
Season 8 will reportedly include something known as “The Sideways,” which will release monsters into the game similarly to the popular series Stranger Things, with some more monsters and mechs coming later after the Fortnite Season 8 start.

HYPEX also claimed that Epic Games are working on another crossover with AMC’s The Walking Dead. In Season 5, we saw the arrival of Daryl and Michonne from the show as new skins.
Now, the devs might bring Rick and Negan to the world of Fortnite, possibly for a Halloween-themed event. It’s worth keeping in mind that these are currently just leaks. Hopefully, Epic Games will confirm this crossover soon.
What is the Fortnite Season 8 theme?
Every new season of Fortnite brings a different theme that defines the characters, aesthetic, and events of the battle royale. Season 7 had brought an alien invasion for players to battle with high-tech IO weapons.
Some new leaks suggest that Epic Games might be going for an Egyptian theme for the next major update. One leaker uncovered a Mummy skin, Pyramids, and a crash site. This means that some more map changes might be on their way.
While this hasn’t been confirmed by the developers yet, it does seem likely that the end of the alien invasion will bring some major changes to the Island.
How much will the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass cost?

While we don’t know the exact cost of the Season 8 Battle Pass yet, it will probably cost 950 V-Bucks. You’ll be able to purchase the smallest bundle containing 1,000 V-Bucks for $7.99 / £6.49 from the Item Shop.
If you want to unlock the first 25 tiers of the Battle Pass right away, then you can spring for the Battle Bundle upgrade, costing $19.99 / £15.99. This will grant you 2.500 V-Bucks, along with an additional 300 for free.
