Team OG (OG) v.s. G2 Esports (7:30 AM EST) (-150 G2)
G2 was upset by the premiere of a new team in the group but get the chance to redeem themselves against OG who they’ve defeated last time they met earlier this year in a close series 2-1. Fortunately, G2 was able to pull off that win when these teams last met even after being out-slayed. Therefore, G2 should benefit from that in this rematch especially if G2’s best player in NiKo is having a strong start with a 1.35 K/D which should be a worry for OG since he didn’t perform as efficiently in the last matchup. However, mantuu has a good chance of dominating once again after coming off a +15 kill-differential game and not having to deal with a main sniper on the opposition. OG also has a higher team overall K/D of 1.38 compared to G2’s 0.95 so there’s a chance G2 may get out-slayed again. However, this match may end up going either way again due to G2 having more clutches as a team (106) versus OG’s 56.
Virtuis.Pro v.s. Team forZe (FORZE) (10:30 AM EST) (-130 VP)
VP’s main anchor/sniper in Jame ended up struggling in their past game but now gets a chance at redemption against FORZE who they defeated last time in a series 2-1. Jame will have some good competition this time though, from zorte who is the opposing sniper and has the accuracy advantage at the moment with 33% headshot rate versus Jame’s 27%. That being said if zorte is able to win the majority of the sniper duels VP may end up struggling again since they rely so heavily on Jame. Also, although YEKINDAR tried to pick up the slack last game while Jame struggled, but wasn’t able to get the work done efficiently. On the other hand, what does help YEKINDAR is the fact that he has the highest K/D on the team at the moment so if anyone else were to step up for VP outside of Jame it would most likely be him. Moreover, with this match being as close as it was previously it can also go either way but the battle between the snipers will more than likely determine the winner heavily.
Sinners (SIN) v.s. Team Complexity (CMPLX) (1:30 PM EST) (-115 CMPLX)
SIN is coming off a statement win to start off their debut as a new team in the group against a team in CMPLX that are without one of their most important slayers in k0nfig. Oskar has another advantage again with the sniper in his hands, although he wasn’t one of the top slayers on his team in their first win to start the season if he’s efficient again it helps his teammates get more kills. Currently, oskar averages 77.1 damage per round which gives him an edge against the opposing main sniper in poizon who averages 61.5. Therefore, blameF will have to put in more work again as the next player up, but more than likely will continue to do so since he ends up being one of the top two slayers on his team the majority of the time in their matches. He also currently has the most accurate shot on his team with 43% headshot rate which should bode well for him in gunfights. On the other hand, SHOCK as of now has the highest headshot rate out of both teams with 67% which could be dangerous for CMPLX if he maintains that most of the match. In addition, the fact that CMPLX wasn’t able to win their last match with blameF and es3tag both doing well does not bode well for them, because the slaying may become harder for them again after they just got dominated by a main sniper from their last opponent. SIN is also in a good position right now because they just proved that they can keep up with one of the top teams in the group and now play CMPLX without one of their best players playing.
