The MLB DFS Dinger of the Day – August 6, 2021 (8/6/21) – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights – fantasycruncher.com

Every day this season, our team shares who we believe has the best chance to leave the yard. From one-off plays to core parts of daily stacks, we hope this fun article will help you build winning lineups along the way.

Today’s Picks

James: Matt Olson – “Mike Foltynewicz has been bad all season, serving up 31 home runs over 111 innings on the year. Folty has also allowed almost more earned runs than strikeouts, with 75 earned and just 77 K’s on the year. Lefties have tagged Folty for a .291 average and .598 slugging. Folty finds himself in the bottom 10% of almost all major categories, including HardHit%, Barrel%, and Exit Velo. Olson is only 1-13 in his career against Foltynewicz here, but that one was a home run and this is a head-to-head that I think will greatly even out over time”

Zach: Joc Pederson – “Erick Fedde has really struggled to keep the ball in the park lately allowing multiple home runs in two straight starts. Fedde also has really struggled against left-handed hitters allowing them to slug .472 with an HR/9 rate of 1.74 against them in his road starts. All of those stats make me believe that Young Joc is going to go deep for the second straight game for the Braves tonight.”

Jared: Trey Mancini – “Ryan Yarbrough has been struggling to keep the ball in the yard lately, allowing 3 HR in his last 2 starts while giving up a ton of fly balls (60%) with a 25.5 degree LA. He does have a solid feel for pitching, but isn’t going to blow anyone away and does tend to have a hard time with RHBs at large. Mancini has a .525 wOBA against Yarbrough for his career (24 PA) including 3 long balls and 5 total xBH (.500 ISO), and he leads the Orioles in barrels (6) and barrel rate (18.2%) in the last couple of weeks. I like the history, the matchup and his current form coming into this one, and hope he can translate that into a long ball this evening at home in Baltimore (a very HR-friendly park).”
