Best Minecraft 1.17 Seeds for Caves & Cliffs Update
Seed: 495603 (Java and Bedrock)
This gorgeous Minecraft 1.17 seed spawns you in a savannah biome, but if you venture out a small ways to x=60, z=100, you can find an incredible cliff region, with a savannah village at its foot, and even some houses and farms perched precariously up top. At the peak of the mountain, you can also find some llamas, pigs, and sheep with nowhere to run, perfect for getting a breeding farm going. The mountain itself is actually two separate mountains, separated by a massive ravine with a winding river. You can find a convenient entrance to this river next to the village, at x=60, z=191, just to the right of the lava in the image above.
Travel around to the backside of the mountain to find a huge, dark cavern with plenty of monster to kill during the daytime. In the mesa, savannah, and deserts that surround the village, you can find a double ravine at x=-340, z=150, right next to a desert village with two horses to tame, and some gold horse armor in the blacksmith’s chest. Head out into the nearby jungle, and at x=1100, y=70, find yourself a jungle temple with SIX diamonds.
Massive Lake Enclosed by Every Climate
Seed: 2111844826 (Java and Bedrock)
This seed has a little bit of everything. Normally, the game will try and generate hot biomes near hot biomes and cold biomes near cold biomes, but that seems to have broken a bit here. It’s a bit of a journey to reach x=-300, z=200, but once you reach it, you’ll find yourself surrounded by every environment you could possibly imagine. Jungle, mesa, mountains, tundra, and mushroom all border the same lake, with plains, forest, taiga, and even ice spikes surrounding those.
Out near the ice spikes, you can find a snow village at x=-740, z=-300 with plenty of resources to go around. Near the village at x=-700, z=-440, there is a ravine cutting under a river, so you can get some quick ores. Yes, it’s a bit of a walk to reach this beautiful area with all these biomes, but you’ll pass so much along the way, you’ll be better equipped to call this place your home when you arrive.
Outposts, Ravines, and Villages. Oh my!
Best Minecraft 1.17 Seeds for Caves & Cliffs Update
Seed: 3946378520 (Java), or -348588776 (Bedrock)
If you like natural structures, then this is the Minecraft 1.17 seed for you. Very near to your spawn, you can find yourself a pillager outpost, right beside a half-buried desert temple at x=150, z=250. At the east end of this same desert, there is a desert village that cuts into a plains biome, with a massive ravine cutting under it. Inside the ravine, there is one of Minecraft’s brand new amethyst geodes. The village unfortunately has no occupants, as it has been abandoned, but that just means you won’t feel as bad when you take all their food.
If you want villagers, you’ll have to go to the second village at x=-340, y=500. In terms of loot, there’s not much to go around, but you can trade and breed villagers to get loot from them instead. But who needs chest loot from a village, when right next to it at x=-500, z=500, there is a massive woodland mansion to raid anyway? Last but not least, head out to x=-780, z=120 to find yet another pillager outpost, this one with a ravine that cuts under it. This ravine contains a mineshaft with tons of loot, and numerous cave systems with plenty of ores.
Amethyst Geode in an Ocean Monument; Stronghold at the Entrance
Seed: 22582058908 (Java), or -2036761388 (Bedrock)
The spawn here leaves much to be desired, being an ugly swamp and all. Luckily, there is plenty to desire if you head south. The first thing you’ll pass is a ravine that opens into a mineshaft at x=1230, z=460, and another hidden ravine at x=1120, z=370. You’ll need to dig down a few blocks (very, very carefully) to find this one, but this ravine has even more mineshafts, plus some diamonds.
Continuing south, you can find your first of three villages at x=600, z=-380, with a witch hut right beside one of the houses. At x=50, z=-1150, there is an absolutely massive taiga village with tons of farms, loot, and villagers to trade with. Set sail for x=-1190, z=-1220 to find an ocean monument, with an amethyst geode inside it, right through the Elder Guardian’s room; not something you see in every Minecraft 1.17 seed. Even better than that, head around to the entrance of the ocean monument to find an exposed stronghold!
Three Villages and Way Too Much Loot
Best Minecraft 1.17 Seeds for Caves & Cliffs Update
Seed: 770405633 (Java and Bedrock)
Our final Minecraft 1.17 seed involves a lot less walking to find the cool stuff. At x=250, z=50, there lies a taiga village next to an absolutely gigantic ravine, that extends down to diamond level. The village is rife with resources, including plenty of iron, way too many iron tools and armor, three diamonds, beets, pumpkins, carrots, potatoes, horse armor, and enough obsidian to make a portal. On top of that, there are tons of villagers to trade with.
In the nearby plains biome, at x=120, z=-250, there is yet another village. This one extends into three separate biomes: plains, taiga, and mountains, and contains tons of haybales, a diamond in the blacksmith’s house, a saddle, and horses. Directly south of here, at x=-270, z=-320, there is a THIRD village to be found, this one having tons of horses to choose from. Not far from this village is a second massive ravine at x=-350, z=-230 that opens into a mineshaft at x=-390, z=-280.
