Daily MLB DFS Stacking Strategies for FanDuel & DraftKings – June 27, 2021 (6/27/21) – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights – fantasycruncher.com

Digging into today’s MLB DFS slate to highlight your best bats to stack.

In this article, we will cover two to three teams that we think are the most stackable for MLB contests. If you are newer to DFS or MLB, or just want a general refresher on the impact of stacking in MLB, check out our research done this off-season where we analyzed over 2,000,000 lineups to determine how many times a team of four or five hitters stacked from the same team won contests. In brief, 80.3% of winning lineups across 71 Main Slate tournaments (from 2020) had a stack of at least four players. 71.9% of that 80.3% had a stack of five players. It is pretty clear that stacking is the main strategy to focus on when it comes to MLB, therefore we will be approaching our hitters content from a stacking perspective.

Minnesota Twins (vs. Indians)

We have a large 12 game main slate today and lots of options to choose from. Let’s dive right in with the Twins taking on the Indians at home in a game with the second highest total on the day. Hentges takes the mound for Cleveland and his recent performances shouldn’t inspire a ton of confidence vs this Twins team. Hentges in 32 innings pitched has allowed 45 hits, 23 earned runs, 5 home runs, and a 6.4 ERA. Hentges ranks bottom 4% in the league in barrel%, bottom 19% in hard hit%, and bottom 17% in exit velocity. This game should resemble batting practice on both sides which is great for our DFS lineups, I like the idea of game stacking this environment for GPP’s. On DraftKings, 5-man MIN stacks range from $21,900 | $13,900 with 121 unique combos available, 4-man MIN stacks range from $18,400 | $10,400 with 121 unique combos available. On Fanduel, 4-man MIN stacks range from $14,600 | $9,400 with 126 unique combos, and 3-man stacks range from $11,400 | $6,600 with 84 unique combos available.

Cincinnati Reds (vs. Braves)

Next we’ll turn our focus to the Reds taking on the Braves young pitcher in Great American Ball Park. This will be Mullers first career start vs Cincinnati, in his only start this season he allowed 5 hits and 3 earned runs. We don’t have much data to go on with Muller in the majors but in AAA over 32 innings pitched he averaged 1.72 HR/9, 4.60 ERA, and 17.1% HR/FB rate. It’s only a matter of time before Muller gets tagged for a few home runs and I believe the Reds are in prime position to take advantage. On DraftKings, 5-man CIN stacks range from $22,600 | $17,400 with 56 unique combos available, 4-man CIN stacks range from $18,300 | $13,100 with 70 unique combos available. On Fanduel, 4-man CIN stacks range from $12,900 | $9,000 with 70 unique combos, and 3-man stacks range from $10,100 | $6,500 with 56 unique combos available.
