The Fortnite Cosmic Summer limited-time event has begun in Fortnite battle royale, offering the first major event in Season 7. As with any new typical limited-time event in the game, it includes some new rewards to collect, quests to complete, items to buy, and much more. 

Season 7 has only been around for a couple of weeks thus far, and it is already getting ready for the next iteration of its alien-themed Invasion season. Although the alien mothership is looming over the island, this has not stopped the denizens there from relaxing. 

It is summertime, which means time to hit up the pools, beaches and relax in some more casual attire. The fun in the sun is getting started in this seventh season with the Fortnite Cosmic Summer limited-time event. The event will only be sticking around, though, for a while. 

It will not last for the entire summer, but rather, just this starting point of the hottest season of the year. By the time you are reading this post, it is already available in the battle royale game. You can jump in to experience everything that it has to offer. 

The Fortnite Cosmic Summer event will only stick around in the game for just under two weeks until July 5, at 11:59 p.m. ET (8:59 p.m. PT), when it will leave the game. It is a bit odd that Epic Games is not allowing the event to stay in Fortnite for the full two weeks, but it will at least be here for the 4th of July weekend. 

As part of the Fortnite Cosmic Summer event, players will experience some new sunny content for this brief window of time. The content includes some new game modes to play, outfits to check out in the item shop, and rewards to collect from the special event quests. We have the full lowdown on everything that you need to know about this summer event in Fortnite. 

It all begins with the special Fortnite Cosmic Summer limited-time game modes offered in this event. These will be around for the duration of the summer event, with some already available right now, while others will launch later.

Interestingly enough, the game modes in this year’s summer event focus on the Creative modes that other players in the community have been able to come up with. Epic Games promotes these game modes and uses them as one of the main parts of the current event. 

In the main Creative lobby for the battle royale title, you will be able to find these featured event Creative game modes under the list of the other modes available and can queue up for them. Through these special game modes, you will be able to unlock the special rewards offered. 

The current list of the known game modes from Creative that will be in the spotlight for this event is Bio’s Zone Wars Trio 1.0 – Custom Teams, Pro 100, Freaky Flights – Air Royale, and The Pit – Free for All. Those four modes are what you will be able to participate in during the Cosmic Summer. 

Though the four-event modes are not necessarily all summer-themed, it is great that Epic Games focuses on the community-created content for this event. One of the weird parts about this event is that Epic does not make some of the game modes easily accessible. 

As for how to find these game modes and check them out, your goal should be to head into the Creative mode lobby first and foremost. Once you are there, you can look around the hub area for the featured game modes, or you can open up the menu and do it quickly there. 

Once you are in the Creative mode menu, you can find the Discover section, showing you game modes that are featured right now. Under that, you will be able to find the Bio’s Zone Wars, 100 Pro, and other game modes in the event without having ever to look up their Creative codes. 

The game modes in the Fortnite Cosmic Summer limited-time event are important because they are at the heart of the quests that you can do in the event for special, exclusive rewards. As always, this limited-time event would not be complete without some missions to do during this time. 

Oddly enough, though, Epic Games is not adding any new content to the game for the event. It does mean that there are no quests to do in the main battle royale island itself or even the Party Royale game mode. Instead, it all has to do with the Creative mode game types featured in this event. 

There are a lot of quests that will be happening in the Fortnite Cosmic Summer event. You can find the full list of them below:

• Deal 1000 damage to players in Bio’s Zone Wars Trios
• Glad 10 headshot eliminations in Bio’s Zone Wars Trios
• Gain 500 health or shields in Bio’s Zone Wars Trios
• Get 50 teammate elimination assists in Bio’s Zone Wars Trios
• Deal 1000 damage to players with a rocket launcher in 100 Pro
• Spend coins to buy 10 items at the vending machine in Pro 100
• Revive 20 teammates in Pro 100
• Travel 5000 meters in the Stormwing plane in Freaky Flights
• Eliminate 25 players in the Stormwing plane in Freaky Flights
• Spend coins to buy 50 items at the vending machine in Freaky Flights
• Build 500 structures in The Pit
• Destroy 500 structures in The Pit
• Get 50 headshots in The Pit
• Eliminate five players with five different types of weapons in a single Pit match
• Complete two Cosmic Summer quests
• Complete six Cosmic Summer quests
• Complete 12 Cosmic Summer quests

As you can see, there are 17 quests in total in this limited-time event, with three of them tied into just completing missions in general. Every single one of the other quests has to do with one of the four-game modes available, so you will need to play them in Creative mode. 

Also, not all of these quests are available right now. The Zone Wars quests are available at this time, but the missions for 100 Pro, Freaky Flights, and The Pit will be released later on as the event goes on, so do not try to do them just yet, as you will be wasting your time. The Pro 100 quests launch on June 25, Freaky Flights on June 28, and The Pit on July 1. 

This is a lot of quests to do and not a whole lot of time to do them all. That is where we come in with some quick tips for each of them. Starting off, we have the quests that have to do with the Bio’s Zone Wars Trios game mode. 

First and foremost, you need to deal 1000 damage to players in this game mode. This part is pretty simple since you need to make sure you are dealing a lot of damage in each game mode match. One thousand is a lot, but you can do this over time with the lengthy matches and grinding. 

Next up is to get 10 headshot eliminations in the Zone Wars game mode. This one could tie into the other one, as getting 10 headshot eliminations with a sniper rifle could get you the 1000 damage as well. But you do not need to get it with a rifle, as you could do it up close with a shotgun or anything else. 

Next up is to get 500 health or shields in this game mode. You can do this one of two ways by regaining health through medkits or gaining shields through shield potions. Either one will contribute towards the total, so work on this over the matches you do. 

The last one for this game mode is to get 50 assists with your teammates’ eliminations. That is a lot of assists, but you can do it over time in your matches. Just stick close to your friends in the mode and be sure to work together to take out other players. 

First up with Pro 100 is to get 1000 damage with rocket launchers in this game mode. This is a tough one as you have to get that much damage, specifically, with only rocket launchers. It could take you a long time to do, so we recommend trying to get as much as possible in each match you queue up for. 

Next up is to spend coins on 10 items at the vending machines. You get coins either from looting the dead players or eliminating other players in the Pro 100 matches. Collect coins but do not wait to spend them, or you might lose the coins, so be sure to hit up the vending machine often for this quest.

And finally, for Pro 100, you need to revive 20 teammates in this game mode. Twenty is a lot, but you can do it in as many matches as you need to. Again, stick to your friends and be sure to revive each other once the enemy downs someone; watch out for them taking advantage of you being vulnerable. 

When it comes to Freaky Flights, the first quest that you have is to travel 5000 meters in the Stormwing vehicle. Five thousand is a lot, but you can do this in a short time with the plane. You could very well complete this one in a single match, but you do not have to. 

Like the other vending machine quest, you need to spend coins in Freaky Flights to get items. It is a harsher requirement this time around at 50, but the same general method applies to collecting coins and then being sure to use them before an enemy can take them from you.

And then the final quest for this game mode is to eliminate 25 players while in the Stormwing plane. It has its weapons that are fully capable of destroying other players, so be sure to use that to your advantage to take out not just enemies in other planes but those on the ground, too, if possible, to speed up this somewhat lengthy process.

Lastly, there are four quests for The Pit. In this game mode, you need to build 500 structures and destroy 500 as well. In this way, build to your heart’s content, ramping, creating forts, and just trying to avoid your opponents in as many ways as possible. 

At the same time, be sure to take out some enemy structures when you can. Five hundred is a lot to destroy, so you may want to employ some more explosive methods of doing this part. Then you need to eliminate five players with five different weapons in a single match of The Pit. 

This will require you to get creative and use different weapon types, like shotguns, pistols, assault rifles, SMGs, and sniper rifles, to take out your opponents. You will need to be versatile, use all of these weapons and maybe some other ones to get this done. 

And last but not least, you need to get 50 headshots in The Pit. This is similar to the other headshots challenge where the weapon type does not matter (though sniper rifles may be useful for snipers out there) so long as you aim for the head. 50 is a lot, though, so you may need several matches for this one.
