There may be less than a month of Season 5 remaining, but Epic Games still have plenty up their sleeve.
The official @FortniteStatus Twitter account has confirmed details of the upcoming v15.40 update. It is scheduled to release on Tuesday, February 16.
As usual, server downtime will begin at approximately 4 AM ET / 9:00 UTC and is expected to last for around an hour.
Knock knock. ??

Following this announcement, the developers posted a second Tweet, describing what to look out for in the patch: One bullet point in particular has caused quite a stir.
“Blast back with an unvaulted favorite!”
Fans are already deep in speculation as to what weapon or item may be returning on Tuesday. The Pump Shotgun is a popular shout, but Epic’s wording has others anticipating the Heavy Sniper Rifle, Flint-Knock Pistol or Hunting Rifle.
Further improvements to the Performance Mode Alpha are also inbound. PC players will now have an option to adjust the level of detail of objects and builds, meaning they are not stuck with mobile quality graphics.
v15.40 brings:
?Blast back with an unvaulted favorite!
?Fun for the whole squad! Characters will have more Exotics in stock for allies (or enemies) to acquire.
?LTMs coming soon: Air Royale ??+ Floor is Lava ??

Additionally, non-player characters around the map will begin stocking more Exotic loot. Right now it can be hard to get your hands on something like the Hop Rock Dualies, so this change will undoubtedly be welcomed by many hunters.
Finally, both the “Air Royale” and “Floor is Lava” Limited Time Modes will be back in-game shortly. Be sure to stay tuned tomorrow for more information once the update goes live!
