Another League of Legends patch is on the way!
We’ve already got an early insight into what’s arriving in Update 11.2, but more details are emerging.
11.2 Update Release Date & Time
11.2 is expected to arrive on Thursday, 21 January.
We expect for Riot to roll this out at the usual times of:
- 3am PT (NA servers)
- 5am GMT (EUW servers)
- 3am CET (EUNE servers)
Patch Notes
The official patch notes from Riot are yet to appear on the official LoL website.
That said, as we reported last week, we do have an early peak as what’s arriving.
Mark Yetter, one of the gameplay developers at Riot Games, revealed through his Twitter account the different changes the patch will implement into the game’s current meta.
Buffs
As expected, some champions are set to undergo some big buffs and nerfs in an attempt to balance them out. According to the tweet, here are the champions getting a buff:
- Dr. Mundo
- Trundle
- Shaco
- Nocturne
- LeBlanc
- Caitlyn
- Varus
- Senna
Senna looks to be one of the most affected by the removal of items like the Hextech GLP-800.
Nerfs
On the other hand, here are the champions that the patch is looking to nerf:
- Aatrox
- Darius
- Olaf
- Nunu
- Maokai (support)
Drain tanks are currently a big meta in the game, so the patch wants to reduce that by balancing some of the champions classified under that category like Aatrox.
The developer mentioned that these changes are still a work in progress, so they will probably keep working on balancing the meta once the patch is released.
11.1 Update
It’s easy to forget that Lol Update 11.1 arrived just two weeks ago.
That patch kick-started the 2021 Season, showing us the patch schedule for the year, new skins, Champion tweaks, Item changes as well as some relevant Hotfixes.
