Competitive and content creator hybrid Faxuty was announced as the first of 5 to be recruited by Faze Clan’s month long challenge
Faze Clan is in the midst of one of the greatest marketing ploys in all of gaming history. Last month, the company announced a series of challenges in an effort to recruit 5 more players to their Fortnite team
Faze dubbed the challenge as “Faze 5” to hit home just how exclusive and prestigious the deal was — giving even more reason to try out
When the dust settled, there were over 200,000 submissions recorded marking a huge success for Faze Clan. At the end of the day, however, only 5 would survive the test of time
Over 200,000 people tried out.
In one hour, we reveal the first winner.#FAZE5

For one, his dream would come true today as Faze Clan announced their first recruitment. And to all my NA-West players out there, one of our own made it to the big leagues today

With fan favorites including ex-Nickmercs teammate Niorooch and South American slayer K1ng on the shortlist of Faze’s top 20 recruits, Faxuty had to overcome a steep field to get the number 1 spot
It’s also important to realize just what’s hanging in the balance with getting accepted to Faze Clan. The top recruit will receive:
-
Faze wrapped Nissan SUV
-
$20,000 signing bonus
-
Multi-month endorsement contract with GFUEL
All other Faze 5 recruits will receive the aforementioned sans the car. Here’s the new whip Faxuty will be enjoying:

All of the Faze recruits should be incredibly proud for simply getting to this point in the competition. With only 4 spots allocated for 19 people, everyone will have to continue proving their worth of they want to rep the red and black
I also have to give major kudos to Faze Clan for their ability to mobilize their enormous social presence. Once again — 200,000 people made submissions and countless others used the “#Faze5” hashtag to root on their favorite creators
Incorporating the GFUEL and Nissan sponsorships as “rewards” was actually just part of the marketing tactics to begin with. A very clever way to generate more ad revenue during the holiday season
Overall, I see this as a win-win. Org gets paid, players get notoriety and paid. Who do you think will get signed to Faze next? Let us know on Twitter
