If you’re looking to play some competitive Rocket League, you’ll constantly be checking your rank and division. Here’s a brief breakdown of how the divisions and ranks in Rocket League work.

Players will start as Unranked, and Rocket League will require players to play ten games before receiving a rank. It’s important to note that a player’s rank doesn’t cross over between game modes. In order to receive a rank for a game mode, players will have to play ten matches of that specific game mode.

Once ten matches have been completed, players will receive a rank. There are eight different ranks: bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, champion, grand champion, and supersonic legend. Each of these ranks, except for supersonic legend, has three levels and four divisions. The higher level and division you are in your rank, the closer you are to ranking up. Supersonic legend doesn’t have levels or divisions because it is currently the highest rank in the game.

In order to rank up, a player must win ranked matches at division 4. Eventually, they will receive a rank up and become division 1 their new rank. However, if a player losses their ranked match, it’s likely that they’ll division down.

With such a wide variety of skills, competitive play is perfect for those who want to challenge themselves and see how they do against other players at their skill level.
