Fortnite players are “making fetch happen” with Fetch Rewards, an app that scans purchase receipts to offer points to its members.

Fortnite players are joining the “Fetch Rewards Revolution” to potentially earn points that could be converted to V-Bucks for free. This revelation comes after a handful discovered and published an exploit of the app’s referral system—rewarding members for both scanning reciepts and referring others.

Fortnite players can join Fetch Rewards for free by creating an individual account. If they choose, they can add in a specific code of those who referred them to give their friend an extra $3 USD. From there, all they need to do is scan their everyday receipts from the grocery or otherwise to earn points.

Every 1000 points can be converted to $1 USD and members can scan up to 14 different receipts a day. When they have enough points, they can then purchase an Apple, PlayStation, or Visa card to be further converted to V-Bucks on Fortnite. Those who choose to use a referral code will get $2 automatically with their first scan.

Some have chosen to exploit the referral system by creating several different accounts under their control. These can potentially be created and referred indefinitely.

Fetch Rewards works “directly” with several major retailers and brands to allow their users a significant opportunity for redemptions. A full list of all their partners can be found on their website.
