Xbox Gameplay Chart: Fallout 76 re-joins the top 40 – TrueAchievements

Our latest Xbox Gameplay Chart has a few surprises, including several reappearances in the top 40. Black Ops Cold War hasn’t yet overcome Modern Warfare for the top spot (although it’s getting close), Fortnite still sits firmly in third place, and Rocket League has switched places with GTA V to fill out the rest of the top five. Further down the chart, however, we see a little more movement as games shuffle up and down to make room for those reappearances.

Here is the top 40 Xbox Gameplay Chart for the week ending November 29th, 2020.

Chart compiled using gameplay data from over 2.5 million active Xbox accounts. Chart information is copyright TrueGaming Network. For details on how the chart is calculated, click here.

Interestingly, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla still sits at tenth place — the same position it’s held since it entered the chart three weeks ago. Valhalla was the biggest launch of the Assassin’s Creed series, and it’s surprising to see it hasn’t moved at all, especially since it was one of the biggest releases this year. It received high praise from players and critics alike — and we loved it in our Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: first impressions — but it has had an inordinate number of bugs. It’s since had an update to fix screen tearing, improve performance, and more, so perhaps any players who have been waiting to pick it up until those bugs were resolved will now come back to it.

A little further down, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which shot back into the chart after being added to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass, still sits at 15th place. Madden NFL 21 and Sea of Thieves have both hopped up a few spots, with Madden NFL 21 sitting at 19th place and Sea of Thieves at 21st. Forza Motorsport 7 has rejoined the chart this week at 29th, with Fallout 76 reappearing at 33rd. Fallout 76 in particular has had a bit of a turbulent time on our Xbox Gameplay Chart, being boosted every now and again with Bethesda’s content updates. Its latest reappearance is no doubt due to the Steel Dawn update, which launched earlier than either Bethesda or the players had expected.

Need for Speed Heat, Tetris Effect: Connected, and Rogue Company have all taken a bit of a tumble this week, with Human Fall Flat also dropping further down the chart. Human Fall Flat tends to bounce back whenever it receives an update for new levels and new achievements, and perhaps this latest drop is just due to players having finished up with the latest Golf and City levels and the related achievements. Lastly, we see Watch Dogs: Legion has now reappeared in the chart at 40th. Legion, which had been another of this year’s biggest releases, fell quite quickly down the chart as players struggled with game-breaking bugs. Perhaps this reappearance is due to the game’s most recent patch, which was intended to bring a number of Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S stability fixes.

This week’s three disappearances, meanwhile, are EA Sports UFC 3, Gears Tactics, and Doom Eternal. Looking ahead, next week brings us the launch of Ubisoft’s third major game of the latter half of 2020: Immortals Fenyx Rising. We’ve also got a number of exciting Xbox Game Pass additions coming up, including Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition, Call of the Sea, and Unto The End — and maybe Control — before the launch of what is arguably the biggest and most anticipated games of the last few years, Cyberpunk 2077. Which do you think will make it into the top ten? Will Cyberpunk get to 1st place? Let us know in the comments!
