Addison Rae just tricked fans into thinking she had her own Fortnite emote, but it was actually just a joke. Here’s exactly what she meant by that confusing tweet.
This year has been a pretty big year for Addison Rae. She conquered TikTok, and then started taking on other challenges such as appearing in a movie, TV presenting and modelling for American Eagle.
Fans were hugely excited when Addison revealed yesterday that she’s even collaborated with Fortnite to release her own emote! However, it was actually just a joke.
Here’s the Fortnite code joke explained.
Addison Rae tricks fans with Fortnite code tweet
Fans went crazy yesterday (November 26th) when Addison Rae took to Twitter to reveal that she has her own Fortnite emote that fans can get for free by entering a code.
She said: “Use code ‘AddisonRae’ on Fortnite for a throwing it back emote.”
Emotes are cosmetic items that allow you to express yourself on the battlefield, usually dances or other action moves, and fans were very excited to be able to get the “throwing it back” move.
However, it turns out that Addison hasn’t collaborated with Fortnite, and it was actually all just a joke. So why did she say it?
The tweet was actually a nod to Fortnite pro Astrend
When they went to enter the code, many fans were disappointed to find that there wasn’t a “throwing it back emote” at all, and many thought that the code wasn’t working.
However, it turns out Addison was playing a joke on her followers, and the tweet was actually a nod to pro Fortnite player Astrend who often uses the creator code ‘AddisonRae’.
Sorry fans, Addison doesn’t have her own emote after all, it was all a bit of promotion towards Astrend.

Fans want Addison to stream Fortnite
After Addison’s tweet, fans have been urging her to start playing Fortnite and streaming it on Twitch or YouTube.
One Twitter user said: “You have a code now? Stream Fortnite pls.”
“You play FORTNITE? omg let’s play I have every skin in the game,” said another fan.
However, Addison hasn’t currently announced any plans to start playing Fortnite despite her mention of the pro player.
