Vehicular soccer game Rocket League could become a free-to-play title early next month. A few weeks back, it was revealed that the game would go to the free-to-play segment, something that could boost the player count by a lot.
Rocket League has been around for a few years now but it is a must play for those who haven’t bought the standard edition after all these years. The game’s free-to-play release will benefit those who haven’t played it and those who have played it since the very beginning. The game’s update will add display titles for those who were on the game before its free-to-play release. The title will show the year but that’s not all, there will also be a few extra cosmetics.
Rocket League will offer yet another free option for console and PC owners. Console owners will be the big winners here since those who have PS Plus or Xbox Live with Gold will get free games like they do every month and Rocket League on top of that. Rocket League is a separate offering from the subscription services but September could be a really good month for Xbox One and PS4 users. Now, we just have to wait for the reveal of the free games for the month of September and the exact release date for the free Rocket League.
