Seven new challenges are now live in Fortnite. Chapter 2, Season 3, Week 5 of the still-popular Battle Royale game begins today, and once again you’ll be tasked with very basic, almost mind-numbingly boring challenges like searching chests and catching fish.
Of this week’s challenges, only a couple have had any effort whatsoever put into creating them. You’ll need to use a Firefly Jar or Flare Gun at Misty Meadows, for instance, ensuring that players seek out two of the season’s new items.
The one challenge worthy of its own guide is searching floating rings at Steamy Stacks which we have a guide for right here. Last week there was a similar challenge that, due to a bug, was auto-completed by Epic Games. Suffice to say, I miss the days when we had at least two somewhat interesting challenges a week. This is a snoozefest.
In any case, here are this week’s challenges:
- Search Chest at Sweaty Sands (7)
- Eliminations at Retail Row (3)
- Use a Firefly Jar or Flare Gun at Misty Meadows (1)
- Land at The Yacht and finish top 25 (1)
- Catch fish at Craggy Cliffs (5)
- Upgrade a weapon at Salty Springs (1)
- Collect Floating Rings at Steamy Stacks (4)
Pretty basic stuff, right?
These will each give you XP to continue to upgrade your Battle Pass. There’s also a new Build-A-Brella challenge available once you hit level 75 and unlock the Bottom Cap customization. You’ll simply need to survive 50 storm phases, unlocking the ability to change the color of the Umbrella’s bottom cap.
There are also two Aquaman challenges this week:
That’s all folks. Everything is pretty self-explanatory this week.
