Some people still hate it, but when in the right hands the new Charge Shotgun is lethal.
Potentially the most controversial weapon so far in Fortnite Chapter 2, the Charge Shotgun still has the community divided. Whilst its unique shoot-on-release mechanic takes some getting used to, it is certainly a lot more powerful than the nerfed Season 3 Tac.
For some reason, Epic Games are still yet to add the Charge to Fortnite Creative. This makes practice a lot harder, but one of the easiest ways to learn is by watching someone else. In no particular order, these 3 pros have mastered the new Shotgun and are definitely worth checking out.
BBG Calc
Recent Built By Gamers signing, Jonathan “Calc” Weber is the self-proclaimed Charge Shotgun God. He’s been on the Arena grind this season and has already amassed over 25k Hype, dropping plenty of 20 bombs with the new gun along the way.
“Charge Shotty God Calc”. I made a video for fun for @yungcalc since i is the self proclaimed GOD of charge shotty

For many players, the issue with the Charge is that they feel forced to play slow. However, Calc proves that this doesn’t have to be the case. He knows what angles to abuse and maintains aggression throughout every fight.
KNG Assault
If you want to see how to pop off with the Charge Shotgun on the sticks, then check out Kvon “Assault” Richardson. One of Team Kungarna’s latest pick-ups, Assault took 2nd during the Solo FNCS Invitational and shows no signs of slowing down this season.

He perfectly demonstrates how to take advantage of the controller’s 360-degree movement to outplay enemies with the new weapon. Assault uses clever edits to catch opponents off guard, giving himself time to hit those high damage shots.
NRG Unknown
After being widely regarded as the best controller player of Fortnite Chapter 2, Dominick “Unknown” Green decided he needed a new challenge. For Season 3, he is playing and competing solely on mouse and keyboard, and impressively, he’s still at the top.

Unknown’s mechanics have always been mesmerizing and he already has his Charge Shotgun timing down to a tee. Whether he’s making a jump shot or holding a right-hand peak, he never seems to miss.
So, those are 3 of the top players with the Charge Shotgun right now. Tune in to their streams if you get the chance and try to incorporate some of the techniques you see into your own gameplay. Before you know it you’ll never want to see a Tac again.
