The Blaze skin added in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 can reportedly cause frame rate drops down to as low as 30 frames per second, according to frame rate specialist and Fortnite player Dety0.
“the new Chapter 3 Blaze Skin + [back bling] lowers your fps anywhere from 30-70 fps, AND the same happens if your team mate / enemy wears it,” Dety0 wrote on Twitter on Thursday.
Turns out Fortnite Default Skin has the best Edit Delay and FPS ,

Dety0 followed up by clarifying the frame rate drop will take place whenever the skin appears in the player’s field of view.
“the fps loss must have something to do with the animations those are rendered with Unreal Engine’s Chaos Physics System,” Dety0 continued. They said players can test the frame rate drops for themselves by going into an empty creative game first with the default Fortnite skin and second with Blaze, noting the difference in frame rate.
Dety0 further stated the Fortnite default skin shows the best performance, having the smallest impact on frame rate.
Epic Games has yet to acknowledge Dety0’s findings, and Dety0 did not share footage of the frame rate drops in action despite thanking another Twitter user for allegedly testing the drops with him
