Fortnite Season 3 has been out for a couple of weeks and punch cards have been added thanks to yesterday’s update. What does the flare gun do in Fortnite?
The flare gun in Fortnite can be used as a standard weapon which inflicts 60 damage on other players.
However, as well as being able to shoot enemies, the flare gun can also be used to mark other Fortnite Battle Royale competitors.
Any opposition within the vicinity of a designated shot will be marked for you alone which could prove quite useful.
Lastly, you can also use the weapon to burn down enemy builds as a way to pressure other players to abandon their structures and become open and vulnerable to attacks.

Where to find the flare gun in Fortnite
You can find the flare gun in Fortnite from chests or randomly on the ground.
In addition, you can also get the flare gun from llamas and supply drops, but it’s important to note that the weapon is a rare find.
As for how sparse, GameRant reports that there’s only a 9.2% chance of attaining it from supply drops, rare chests, and llamas.
