Fortnite: The Best Activities In Party Royale Mode | TheGamer – TheGamer

There’s no killing, no shooting, no building, and no winning to do in Fortnite‘s Party Royale, so what is there to do? Well, actually, quite a lot.

Party Royale is the latest and perhaps most significant way yet in which Epic has stated that it wants Fortnite to be about a lot more than 100-person battle royales. The game might have just passed 350 million registered players, but that’s still not enough. Epic wants everyone playing Fortnite, whether they enjoy the battle royale genre or not.

Despite sharing the royale moniker, battle royale and Party Royale actually have very little in common. While BR is all about eliminating enemies, Party Royale is all about buddying up with friends and players you would normally be seeking to destroy in order to take part in a number of fun activities.

The party royale island isn’t massive, but there is a lot to do. One of the most fun things is racing its Quadcrashers. Quadcrashers were created with destruction in mind. Here, they can be “bought” from vending machines free of charge. Players can then race each other around the island’s tracks. The race tracks are marked on the map by orange circles with white Quadcrashers in the middle.

If you think Quadcrasher racing can get chaotic, then wait until you get a load of Fortnite‘s take on soccer. The original BR island had a soccer pitch, but trying to play the game would have resulted in a quick elimination. Here, there will be no one to take advantage of players just trying to have a little fun. It’s very basic, as in there are no controls beyond just running into the ball, but a board on the sidelines will keep score.

The focal point of Party Royale is the Main Stage where its live in-game concerts take place. This area of the map will be pretty empty outside of live performances, but it’s definitely worth a visit just to take it all in. It’s like attending a festival from the comfort of your couch.

Also, be sure to visit one of the skydiving locations where players can leap into a rift and easily drift down to anywhere they want to visit on the island.
