In major Fortnite updates that require some downtime, new files are added to the game. These files usually contain cosmetics, weapons and challenges that will be coming to Fortnite Battle Royal in the upcoming weeks.

There were quite a few Fortnite cosmetics that were leaked in the v12.40 update, which included Skins, Back Blings, Gliders, Pickaxes, Emotes/Dances, Wraps and a Contrail. The majority of these cosmetics will feature in the Item Shop where players will be able to purchase them for V-Bucks.
