2020 Rocket League Oceania RLCS: Top Targets for April 4 – DraftKings Playbook

Rocket League

The Oceania division of the RLCS resumes this weekend with four online games. We break down some high-priced targets as well as value flex options from the slate.

Set your lineups here: RL $40K Prodigy Special [$10K to 1st] (OCE RLCS)

Captain options

Julz ($16,800)
Julz has been the most efficient goal-scorer in the ninth season of the RLCS, averaging 1.23 goals per game. He has taken 3.95 shots per game, third best this season. Along with 0.59 assists and 1.41 saves per game, Julz has probably been the most dynamic all-round player in Oceania.

Amphis ($17,700)
Amphis isn’t far behind Julz in terms of offensive form. In 22 games this season, Amphis has averaged 1.05 goals, 0.59 assists and 3.23 shots per game. With 1.82 saves per game, he proves his proficiency defensively as well, a massively important part of Rocket League. He is averaging over 250 fantasy points per game, but that sample size is small.

KennySalmon ($15,900)
It’s always a shrewd strategy to mix up your Captains in your Rocket League roster. Along with one strong offensive pick, a stellar defensive player will balance your team nicely. KennySalmon has averaged fewer goals (0.59) than assists (0.64) per game so far in the RLCS this season. However, he makes up for that with 2.27 saves, second best in the RLCS.

High-priced flex options

CJCJ ($10,000)
CJCJ’s goal conversion rate isn’t very high. Actually, it’s rather inefficient, scoring 0.91 goals on 4.22 shots. Why then would it make sense to spend $10,000 on him? There are additional fantasy points for shots taken. CJCJ leads the RLCS in that stat this season. He also has 1.17 saves per game.

Decka ($12,000)
Considering Decka’s prowess this season, he might make a good flex player. His lofty price might not make him the best Captain because a relatively cheaper Captain allows you to pick four strong players. Over 245 games, Decka has averaged 0.71 goals on 2.51 shots per game, along with 0.6 assists. Some would argue that isn’t great, but these stats are over the duration of his career, not a season.

Value flex options

Delusion ($10,200)
A price of $10,200 is not exactly a value option. However, Delusion at this price is extremely useful. During this season of the RLCS, he has scored 16 goals (fourth in the Oceania RLCS) on 58 shots with 12 assists in 21 games. Those are fantastic offensive numbers. His real value, though, is derived when you consider his defensive strength as well — he has managed 38 saves. If you pick a valuable captain, you will be able to draft Delusion easily in your flex section.
