A Fortnite leak suggests that we could be able to customize the Fortnite Battle Bus in the future.
The Fortnite Battle Bus has gone through many iterations in the two-plus years since the game came out. We’ve seen it change for anniversaries, Halloween, Christmas, and are now expecting a new style for the release of Deadpool in Season 2.
According to Fortnite data miner @spedicey1, there is a customizable style for the Battle Bus in the game files. This style is listed under the ‘Weapon Wrap’ category, suggesting that you can choose one of your wraps to add to the Battle Bus.
In the replies to his tweet, Spedicey clarified that this is an old slot that was reactivated, meaning that Epic has been flirting with the idea for a while.
It’s interesting to see it now, however, with the presumed change to the Battle Bus coming with the Deadpool skin. Will Deadpool unlock the ability to customize the Battle Bus, as well?
The news also comes after the Fortnite leak that suggested a locker preset option coming to the game. In theory, this preset will allow players to set skin, back bling, and pickaxe combinations to cycle through. Rocket League players will have an idea of what this could look like.
It remains to be seen how far Epic will take this customization option if it ever comes to Fortnite. Will we be able to equip wraps to the bus or can we choose from the previously-released Battle Bus styles?
Unfortunately, we may have to wait until Chapter 2 Season 3 until we see this option fully realized. This feels like more of a ‘new season feature’ than something that they’ll introduce midway through an existing Battle Pass.
