The Limited Testing Event, a new solos tournament, appeared in the Compete tab for Fortnite PlayStation 4 players Thursday. The description for the tournament indicates the results won’t stick around.
“This tournament will self destruct at the conclusion of our testing period,” Epic Games wrote in-game. “Any scores or pins will be removed after the tournament is complete.”
“We’ve updated our tournament systems and will be running a few small scale events to prepare for a wider release of upcoming features. Additional players will gain access to this tournament over time.”
European players took part in the tournament Thursday 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET, and North American players competed between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET. No prizes were awarded.
Epic Games has not announced for what event this test tournament prepared the game.
