With the letters “F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E” successfully obtained and the Sorana skin unlocked, we’re moving into the final phase of chapter 2, Season 1 here in Fortnite: Battle Royale. But there are still some secrets yet to be had in these here loading screens, even if they’re significance has decreased somewhat now that they’re no longer tied to the season’s challenge skin. We’re hunting XP drops now, which serve essentially the same function as the battle stars of yore but have a different name, necessarily. So let’s get to it: read on for a map, guide and location for where to find the hidden XP drop in the Chaos Rising loading screen.

This is actually the third secret hidden in this particular loading screen: it also contained coordinates for Sorana’s back bling and pickaxe. This one is a little bit harder to see, but it’s there. Look just to the right of the figure and you’ll see the sort of chevron shape we all know and love:

That appears to be Kevin the Cube, the charming antagonist for much of Chapter 1 and apparent power source. There’s a statue of him over by Steamy Stacks, and so that’s where you’ll want to go:

Head on down to the power plant and find the cube statue. The XP drop should be floating around there somewhere, and we’ll be able to confirm once we complete all the challenges. Remember, it won’t appear until you’ve finished the requisite challenges here in Chaos Rising.

Steamy Stacks is featured prominently in this week’s challenges, so maybe that’s some sort of hint that KEvin has some role yet to play in the coming weeks? If history serves it doesn’t mean anything at all, but we’re really sort of grasping at straws here. All we know is that the plot of the season has something to do with these two groups of interdimensional dopplegangers and some kind of heist, but that’s basically hit: hardly map-changing sorts of developments. We’ve got a fair amount of time before the season ends, however, so maybe we’ll get some indication of where this is headed soon.
