Fortnite Chapter 2 has altered the game dramatically, including how players approach combat and the world of battle royale. The Harpoon gun as well offered a ton of changes to the game’s scope with many players calling it one of the strongest items that Fortnite has to offer. It turns out that it’s also really versatile as one Fortnite player helpfully pointed out.
Reddit user ‘JakeMCFC’ took to the boards to show off a clip of a different way to utilize the Harpoon gun, a way that could mean a clutch win at the end of a match.

In the video above, Fortnite fans can see that both Jake and his friend were knocked down near Pleasant Park. In a last-chance bid for safety, Jake went into a nearby house to try to heal up. To cover him while he’s vulnerable, he then laid a trap just inside the door lest another player get the jump on him.
When one player did just that, Jake used the Harpoon gun to pull the player into the trap, which meant double the damage with the initial impact of the gun itself paired with the trap’s damage dealt. In the video, you can also see that this triggered an achievement as well, which is awesome for those that love getting everything possible from the world of Fortnite.
